T-Pain Plays Oliver Tree’s Unreleased Posthumous Song

Pain share the unreleased joint Oliver Tree this singer is honored just two weeks after his death.

The rapper, whose real name is Faheem Rashad Najm, was singing with him Shaquille O’Nealaka DJ Diesel, at the Electric Forest festival in Michigan in the late hours of Saturday, June 27, when he unveiled a new track, with pictures on social media.

Fan clips captured the emotional moment when T-Pain, 41, released a video montage of clips of the late Tree as the song played.

The song was released two weeks after Tree died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was 32 years old.

In T-Pain’s video, Tree was seen playing, riding a scooter on many hills and hanging out with friends. As flashback videos played, T-Pain held his hand in the air before asking the crowd to wave their arms in unison.

T-Pain and Tree are known to be close friends, with the former hosting the show on his “Nappy Boy Radio Podcast”.

News of Sihlahla’s death spread online after that CNN Brazil reported on a dangerous helicopter incident that occurred on June 14. The agency reported at the time that two helicopters collided, killing six people, including Tree. There are no survivors.

The singer and songwriter was visiting Brazil as part of his world tour at the time. After performing in São Paulo on June 6, Tree was scheduled to take the stage in Lisbon, Portugal on July 1.

The spokesperson of the news office of the Rio de Janeiro State Civil Police Press told USA Today after this collision an investigation was conducted to determine the “causes of the plane crash.”

Once the expert examination conducted at the scene is completed, the Aeronautical Accidents Investigation and Prevention Center will issue its report. The company added that initial reports indicated that helicopters known to have crashed “in an electric car park, ignited a fire that burned at least 20 vehicles.”

Tree’s team revealed in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 21, that his body has been found and flown to California. The post, shared through Tree’s official account, also announced that he will be honored on a future basis. “His legacy will continue with his foundation/endowment called the ‘Dr. Oliver Tree Landmark Grant for Child Geniuses’ coming soon,” the post said. “This is what Oliver put together before he passed away, written in his will. We will make sure that his wish is fulfilled so that more happiness, love and art can spread to the world, that was his last wish.”

T-Pain shared his own tribute to Tree via Instagram after his friend’s death. “Thank you for sharing your art and always be unique in the best way possible. See you on the bright side,” T-Pain wrote hours after the news broke.
