Famous author William Faulkner once wrote, “The past is never dead. Indeed, the past two decades of entertainment have proven you right. We’ve seen the revival of many of our favorite ’80s franchises, including Transformers, Ghostbusters, GI Joe, and many others. Because these revivals are such hits, it’s easy to worry when a new one is announced. That’s how I felt there. Masters of the Universe the movie was announced for the first time. He-Man was my self favorite I am a hero when I am growing up. Would they scratch it? Despite my fear, I was very excited as we approached the premiere of the film.
As it turns out, my faith was rewarded: The new Masters of the Universe was more exciting than most of the MCU and DCU films, giving it a whole lot. brilliant restart this dead IP. Yes, He-Man has been rebooted many times before, but this movie put me in the mood to go back to the cartoon that started it all. If you’d like to join me on this “good trip”, you’re in luck: He-Man and the Masters of the World now streaming for free on Tubi!
You are strong

The foundation of He-Man and the Masters of the World that the distant planet of Eternia is constantly threatened by Skeletor, a demon warrior with an army of evil allies. Fortunately, the planet has its defenders, including the Man-At-Arms and his warrior daughter, Teela. One of those defenders is Adam, a prince with an amazing secret: when he raises his magic sword, he transforms into He-Man, the strongest man in the universe! He is Skeletor’s archenemy, and fights to save his entire kingdom from certain death.
In retrospect, the most remarkable thing about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is how non-violent quite a show. It is based on toys that inspire famous battles by including special features such as battle damage. But in the show, you don’t really see He-Man use his sword for anything other than deflecting various attacks. With living beings, our hero never uses sword or fist; he just threw himself out of the frame. If he he did hit something, it was always a robot. While all of this can be stressful or frustrating, it makes it so much easier to share with your children.
Helter Skeletor

In He-Man and the Masters of the Worldplot is like violence: there is no border. There isn’t much of a complex story here, and the episodes are mostly a loose collection of Maguffins, toy gags, and cheesy dialogue. So why do I recommend you revisit the cartoon? Among other things, because of cheesy dialogue. Phrases like “I’m strong” have easily entered our cultural lexicon as Skeletor’s colorful cries have become the source of many memes. It all adds up to a B-movie perfection you’ll enjoy it if, like me, you’re a big fan of ’80s-style schlock.
In addition, He-Man and the Masters of the World full of iconic designs. Both the aforementioned Skeletor and Castle Grayskull are spooky, and speak to the emo kid in all of us. He-Man, too, remains the ultimate symbol of masculinity and strength for an entire generation. Oh, and Snake Mountain is the worst place ever put on screen. All of these characters and locations help bring to life a world where sci-fi and fantasy collide. Like, honestly: where else would you find a barbarian riding a speed bike to chase a witch out of skin?
A Really Good Trip

If you’re in a suitably nostalgic mood, you might find it He-Man and the Masters of the World funny. You can’t really keep a straight face when Skeletor blurts out lines like, “He’s a witch, dude!” On top of the cheeseball dialogue and funny character antics (Cringer and Orko are always up for a laugh), one of He-Man’s funniest features is the public service announcement at the end of each episode. Like the old school “what’s the moral of the story?” to wrap, each message is a complete back and forth. Plus, you’ll find highlights that range from the accidentally funny (He-Man mixing potions and drugs) to the incredibly scary (Orko warns the kids about the surprises that affect them!).
While He-Man and the Masters of the World it’s great for anyone who likes vintage, animated schlock, it’ll appeal especially to anyone who played with He-Man toys growing up. Seriously, re-watching some of these episodes helped unlock some great memories from my childhood. The result is a nurturing desire that takes us back to a surprisingly simpler time. Good always triumphs over evil, it may never be right, and every war is a lesson in stealth. In our world of instability and chaos, this escape to a simpler time is an exercise in meditation.
Ready for peace of mind yourself? Don’t worry: you won’t have to scale Snake Mountain or learn to fly a hoverbike. And you won’t have to match wits with Skeletor or unlock the power of a magical sword. All you have to do is pick up your remote and broadcast He-Man and the Masters of the World free on Tubi today. With the money you save, you can make like Prince Adam and pay for a gym membership. Don’t worry; I’m sure she’ll have her body in no time!
