Authorities on May 5 arrested a 17-year-old man accused of killing a 61-year-old woman who was found dead on April 21.

The local outlet Las Vegas Review-Journal identified the suspect as Dennis Geiggar, a high school student with a reported history of behavioral problems and anger-related incidents.

He is accused of killing Marceline Biasini, 61, who was reported by the Review-Journal to have been sleeping in the same place where she was found dead.

The victim was found slumped on the sidewalk outside the business and “suffering from obvious injuries” shortly after 8 a.m. on April 21, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) told Fox News Digital.

Nearby surveillance video captured a brief, suspicious encounter in the middle of the night, showing the suspect approaching the victim’s location and leaving about a minute later, the Review-Journal reported, citing police records.

Although the video did not capture the execution, it is reported to have recorded what appears to be a loud noise followed by approximately 61 sounds.

“The exact location of the crime was blocked by cameras, but video surveillance … captured the suspect approaching Marceline, and minutes later, screams were heard followed by approximately 61 gunshots,” the Review-Journal reported.

Detectives determined the woman “was struck sometime during the night,” according to a statement provided to Fox News Digital.

The Clark County coroner’s office ruled Biasini’s death a homicide, citing blunt force trauma, according to the Review-Journal.

Geiggar reportedly has a history of anger issues and problematic behavior.

He was expelled from Valley High School in January after allegedly trying to start a fire on campus, the Review-Journal reported, adding that he attended school online.

Police also said Geiggar “had multiple incidents where his anger led him to smash through walls and trash cans” and was participating in anger management classes, according to the newspaper.

According to police reports, video from a nearby 7-Eleven shows the suspect wearing a red sweatshirt and Vans shoes, the same clothes Geiggar was reportedly seen wearing while attending Valley High School.

In addition, detectives reportedly found bloody shoes at the scene.

A test on Geiggar’s Vans shoes came back positive for blood, although DNA comparisons have not been completed, the source said.

Police added that Geiggar’s description matched that of the suspect.

Documents show that Geiggar denied the charges, although he admitted to visiting a nearby 7-Eleven between 1 and 2 a.m. with his older brother, the Review-Journal reported.

The video of that store reportedly did not show him inside at that time.

Geiggar denied the allegations, according to documents cited by the Review-Journal. It is not clear whether he has retained a lawyer to comment on his behalf. He has not been found guilty of Biasini’s death, and the case is still ongoing.

Geiggar is being held on one count of first degree murder, one count of first degree murder.
