X-Men Star Reveals Why Avengers: Doomsday Will Be A Total Disaster

Right now, I hope Avengers: Doomsday are higher than before. Marvel bigwigs like Kevin Feige and the Russos are hoping this film can overcome horror fatigue, entertain the public, and turn the MCU into a money-making machine. After enduring years of duds like Forever again Captain America: Brave New Worldfans are hoping to see something as sweet as this The end of the game. Despite the collective hype, however, Doomsday it’s still a huge gamble, and if it fails, it could take the entire cinema space with it.
Unfortunately, there was a strong hint of that Doomsday it could mean the destruction of the MCU. For example, Nightcrawler actor Alan Cumming recently did an interview with Deadline where he talked about his experience working on both. X2: X-Men United again Avengers: Doomsday. While trying to keep things positive about the upcoming Marvel blockbuster, he said something shocking. According to him, Doomsday it’s so confusingly full of different characters that the film feels like “hero soup.”
Welcome, Crawler!

While there are plenty of principles that you know from the best Romy and Michelle High School ReunionAlan Cumming first landed on the pirates’ radar when he portrayed Nightcrawler in the X2: X-Men Unitedone of the best superhero sequels ever made. The fans loved the film, but the actor clearly didn’t badly time to do it. Cumming told Deadline that “Some things happened in time [X2] a set that just shocked me” and “The work environment was very bad and not very welcoming.” By contrast, he found work Avengers: Doomsday to be very pleasant in almost every way.
However, the actor had a few vague notes about the upcoming Marvel blockbuster. While he was excited to return to playing Nightcrawler “because I loved the character so much,” he said. Avengers: Doomsday “it’s like superhero soup. There are too many of them. I can’t keep up.” He mentioned that reading this document was very difficult because “everyone has two names.” In addition, “there were secret words in it because they didn’t want to make it public that a certain character was coming back,” and they used different names in the script. Cumming finally summed up his thoughts by saying, “It was very confusing.”
Is Marvel Lost?

I am very happy Avengers: Doomsday as the next veteran of an embarrassing number of Marvel action figures and comic books. However, Alan Cumming’s interview is with me a lot I’m nervous about this upcoming blockbuster. I keep coming back to a simple thought: if the guy making this movie can’t keep track of the characters or the plot, what chance do the rest of us have? Even if the plot of the film is very clear (which, given its strong connection to the Multiverse, seriously impossible), we will still be left with a big bowl of “hero soup.”
That said, it’s possible that the film includes too many characters to do it all justice, and it’s possible that we’re getting a lot of crowd-pleasing cameos at the expense of good storytelling. Also, Marvel is gambling almost everything on the idea that the general audience will not be confused by seeing the diversity of many different characters and other universes on the screen. Sure, Marvel’s biggest fans may be able to relate, but normies may hang up asking why Captain America is back, why Iron Man is Doctor Doom, and (if the conspiracy reports are true) why the universe of Marvel’s favorite old movies continues to be destroyed.

I found my fingers and replica adamantium claws wrong about all of this. Marvel has used alternate universes well in both Spider-Man: No Way Home again Deadpool and Wolverineso there is a chance that Avengers: Doomsday it will be another critical and commercial Hulk smash of a movie. But with so many characters crammed into one movie to fight a Big Bad we’ve yet to meet, Doomsday looks like it’s on its way to a big mess. And if Marvel spills this bowl of superhero soup on the universe, no one will come back for more there. Secret Wars it’s rolling!
