Michelle Pfeiffer Says The Madison Set Had No Bathrooms

Michelle Pfeiffer reveals the truth behind the beautiful setting of his hit show Madison.

The three-time Oscar nominee shot the drama for Paramount+, created by Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridanin rural Montana, which meant going back to basics.

“There’s no bathroom. Even the outhouse isn’t real. There’s no AC, no plumbing, nothing,” Pfeiffer, 68, shared in an interview with the owners. Los Angeles Times published on Monday, May 18. “But he is amazingly beautiful.

“It took some time [to adjust],” he said. So there weren’t certain things, the kind of accommodations, set up. We didn’t really have trailers there because they were shooting 360 [degrees]so they couldn’t have a bunch of trailers around. So there was really no place for us to live.”

Pfeiffer added, “There was no bathroom nearby, no food. In the winter, it was cold.” [and] it was like, ‘Can we have a heater?’ And in the summer, it was like, ‘Can I get an umbrella because the sun is really hot?’

In MadisonPfeiffer plays Stacy Clyburn, the matriarch of the Clyburn family, who moves from New York City to Montana after the death of Patriarch Preston Clyburn. The cast includes Kurt Russell, Matthew Fox, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett and more.

Pfeiffer previously revealed that she had signed on to star in the series before there was a script.

“I committed to it without having to read anything. It was just him who defined the scope of the character and the kind of frame where he was going,” said the actor. Entertainment Tonight in March.

Pfeiffer continued, “I said, ‘Well, I’d really like to read something.’ He said, ‘No, I really like to cast it first and then write.’ I said, ‘Well, I’d really like to learn something and I’m going to commit.’ We went back and forth for a few weeks like that, and then I realized that I was not going to win this argument and I had to surrender or give up.”

MadisonThe first season, consisting of six episodes, premieres in March. The show was quietly renewed for a second season, also consisting of six episodes, before it premiered. Season 2 is already filming, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.

Following the success of season 1 on Paramount+, the network has been renewed Madison season three in April.
