Brown and Usher’s headlining tour comes three years after the pair clashed at Brown’s 34th birthday party in Las Vegas in May 2023. TMZ reported at the time that Usher was visibly bleeding following the alleged altercation. The two later performed at Usher’s Lovers & Friends festival.
Despite the incident, Usher and Brown collaborated on songs including “New Flame.” In an April 2023 interview with BigBoyTV, Usher said he was open to continuing to work with the “Run It” singer.
“If that happens, it will be one of the biggest things anyone has ever seen in entertainment celebrating two people who love each other,” Usher said at the time. “I love Chris. I don’t love his music — I love his music [and] I love him. He is my younger brother, and he has always been there for me, and I have always been there for him. In difficult and difficult times, I have been there with him. And to be able to celebrate what we’re doing together, man, that’s going to be crazy.”
