Whoopi Goldberg says America seems to have ‘de-balled’ as a nation during the Iran war

As the co-hosts of “The View” criticized President Donald Trump’s rhetoric about the cost of the Iran war, Whoopi Goldberg suggested Wednesday that America looks emasculated and vulnerable to the world.

In the infamous clip, Trump was asked Tuesday morning about whether he was considering the financial circumstances of the American people during negotiations to end the costly war with Iran.

“At least,” Trump replied. “The only thing that matters when I talk about Iran – they can’t have a nuclear weapon. I don’t think about the financial situation of the American people. I don’t think about the person. I think about one thing – we can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all.”

Many Americans, including his supporters, complained that the war was not only a huge betrayal of his campaign promises, but made their economic situation worse. The producers of the show “The View” criticized Trump for the statement he made, saying that it shows his disregard for the American people and his “cult.”

“He didn’t care about his supporters’ pleas for no more wars when he went to Iran, and now he doesn’t care about Americans not being able to feed their families,” Whoopi said.

The show’s hosts have since noted that many senior members of the Trump administration have been framed as people who don’t care about the nation’s own security liabilities, arguing that this often gets to the point where even Trump ends up getting bitter about them and firing them.

The hosts discussed recent reporting from The Atlantic regarding the allegations surrounding FBI director Kash Patel. The Atlantic recently published an article citing multiple anonymous sources who told the outlet that the FBI director had “emotional outbursts” related to difficulty accessing the computer system, had “occasions of heavy drinking” and was absent enough to cause security concerns.

“I don’t trust people running for anything. I don’t trust anybody running this country, and that’s what scares me,” Whoopi said. “Okay, well, who’s going to take responsibility — you know, the CDC, right now? Nobody’s in charge of the CDC. We have this potential virus, and they keep saying, ‘No, there’s nothing to worry about.’ I don’t want to hear that because you don’t know if you have anything to worry about!”

“We’ve failed as a nation, I feel,” said Whoopi.

As the other hosts asked if she meant castration, Whoopi replied, “It’s the same. I don’t have one, but I know it’s the same thing. But the idea that no one is in control freaks me out.”

“I think America still has its basketballs. I just think we have leaders that are struggling right now,” host Alyssa Farah Griffin responded.

The feeling around the world, Whoopi said, “They just don’t believe anything we do, because nothing we do seems to have weight.”

“It makes no sense, the ball is out,” concluded Whoopi. “Whatever it is, it’s not what America should be seeing and how we should be seeing it.”
