Prices fell after Trump called off the attack

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) opened at $76,952.05 today, down 0.6% from yesterday’s opening price. Today’s opening price is the lowest bitcoin since May 1. The price of bitcoin as of 7:12 am was $76,902.50.
Ethereum (ETH-USD) opened at $2,128.55, flat from yesterday’s opening price. Ethereum’s opening price this morning is the lowest since April 7. The price of ethereum was $2,115.84 as of 7:12 am ET.
Yesterday, the president announced he was calling off a planned attack on Iran after he said his Middle Eastern allies had asked him to.
“We will not carry out a planned attack on Iran tomorrow, but we have also ordered them to be prepared to go ahead with a full-scale, large-scale attack on Iran, at a moment’s notice, in the event that an acceptable deal is not reached,” wrote President Trump on Truth Social yesterday. The president also said that as a result, “there are serious discussions now.”
Both bitcoin and ethereum continue to search for price levels where they can break and hold. In bitcoin, this is what TradingView said yesterday: “The technical picture from here is divided into two situations. If the bulls hold the current levels, Bitcoin can try another push to $ 83,000. If the level of $ 74,000 is broken, analysts expect a deep throw to the bottom with limited support until the middle of the $ 60,000 range.”

What is Ethereum and how does it work?
Ethereum is a blockchain, while ether is the cryptocurrency that runs on it. When people say they’re “buying ethereum,” they’re usually buying ETH — the digital asset used to run apps and store value.
Some investors trade short-term, others accumulate their capital gradually, and others focus on getting a yield by staking their ETH to help run the network – a process known as staking.
How to buy Ethereum
Ether, the native cryptocurrency used on the Ethereum platform, remains more volatile than the S&P 500 for many investors. But it’s no longer a moonshot — it’s a fundamental part of the modern digital portfolio.
