MARK LEVIN: The Iranian regime cannot be trusted with nukes, missiles or promises

When we suddenly hit the brakes and stopped the planned military operation against the Iranian regime, it was clear that something was going on. We have given the regime 2-3 days to come up with some plan that probably doesn’t involve nukes. What does it mean to not have nukes? Will their scientists forget what they did? How long can we keep that in the box? What happened to enriched uranium? We are told: 1. they are enough to make 10 bombs in 11 days, and 2. that it takes a matter of weeks to continue enriching uranium from 60% to 90% to nuclear grade. What about plutonium, which no one talks about?
And the ballistic missiles that were destroying targets throughout the Middle East? And the range of those missiles, which can now hit Europe? We didn’t even know how far those missiles could go. Do I think this is all going to change? The Iranian regime that expelled the inspectors, covered up their activities, and violated every agreement it ever signed, has it changed because of our military actions?
To be honest, does this act even sound like a defeated empire or one that cares about death? For some reason, the West can’t get its head around the fact that the Iranian regime’s ideology is not one of coexistence. It is a religious, extremist, fundamentalist sect that insists on conquering or destroying all those who do not change their views. They told us this. They wrote this. They preach this. It is in their books, tracts, sermons, etc. It is a revolution without borders, not just one nation among others. Are we not reading this now? Many Americans have been killed in the last 47 years because of the ambitions of the empire.

My biggest concern has always been enforcement, which has never been discussed even after all this time. If there is an agreement, whatever it is, perhaps the biggest in the history of agreements, again, the government is cheating, lying, and hiding what it is doing. Our intel and satellites cannot catch everything. And if we find a violation, then what? “Well, we’ll beat them again, Mark.”
Is that what we did before Trump? Does anyone believe that is what we will do after Trump? Is that what Gavin Newsom or Kamala Harris or other Democrats would do if one of them became president? Heck, even Republican presidents didn’t work. For crying out loud, look at all the noise, the sad ones, the dissenters, the independents, etc. This is a big movement in politics and our government. And look at the reaction to the temporary increase in the gallon of gas. Can we have a will a few years from now?

What about Hezbollah, which is now a powerful terrorist organization? And what about Hamas? Will the regime of Iran promise not to support them? My answer: is the Brooklyn Bridge still for sale? And how do we stop the state from funding them? What are we going to do? And the Iranian people? What about them? “They should wake up,” he said. Well, they did. Without weapons. And they paid a terrible price and still do. I can only imagine what else would have been done to them.
Of course, the Europeans will not use it, Even if there is a détente with China and something like it with Russia, they will still provide support to the Iranian regime. So will North Korea. We cannot control their destruction of any agreement. All this must be considered.

And Democrats, always eager for a political opportunity, will casually ask, “why did we go to war,” “this is Obama 2.0,” “we wasted billions for nothing,” “Trump is a TACO,” and so on. I can hear it now. The truth will not matter. The spin will be. Of course, if the Democrats had their way, the Iranian regime would already have nuclear weapons. But none of this will matter. This could be very dangerous in the midterm elections, despite all the calls for “separation.” However, the problem is the government itself, right? How do we contain it when it is heavy?
To be perfectly clear, I have no inside information. In fact, as far as I know, at the end of another 2-3 days of negotiations, military action against the regime will resume. But it is very important to think about these issues and many more.
