General Hospital: Mom’s Costly Mistake Frees Drew – Major Twist Ahead!

General Hospital he just saw Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) make a real mistake when she got distracted and didn’t give Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) an injection that left him paralyzed and locked up. Unless he’s careful and circles around to shoot him, this could change everything.

So, we’ll talk about how Nina’s distraction could give Drew the chance he needs from Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) to regain his freedom. Nina’s little oopsie can cost Willow everything.

Nina Gets Distracted While Taking Care of the Children

That’s right. So, this week we saw Nina at Willow and Drew’s place. He is always there. Because again, Willow asked Nina to watch over Drew while she took care of some congressional work. And Willow told Nina about her deal with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to get more funding for WSB.

General Hospital: Willow Fills Nina In on Her Bad Plan

Willow said she was doing this so Jack could get his powers to use against Drew so he couldn’t retaliate against him by shooting or incapacitating him. And Willow told Nina that if Jack doesn’t do what she wants, she promised to make sure that she cuts WSB’s funding. Now Nina thinks this is a bad idea and is playing with fire, but Willow doesn’t.

So, he’s got some calls to make so he can abuse his power in congress to his advantage, you know, like Drew used to do. And Willow asks Nina to watch over Drew and bring him into the room to keep Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) away from Drew. Nina then asked Willow if she could just fire Kai.

Because you know Willow shot Drew? This was not a good conversation to have in front of Willow’s locked-in husband. Because Drew just got some critical information that he didn’t have before because he now knows that Kai knows the truth about Willow’s shooting. So he is the perfect person to try and connect with.

Willow Kai’s View Like a Hawk

So Willow then told Nina that she wants to keep Kai close to watch over him, keep your enemies close. And Nina compared those tactics to mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), which is interesting. So Kai showed up to leave something. He asked to see Drew, but Willow lied and said Drew was taking a nap. Then before Willow bailed on her mom, she told Nina, “Make sure you give Drew the next paralysis shot.”

So when they’re alone, Nina fixes the gun and apologizes to Drew for drugging her, but says, you know, she has to support Willow. That’s when things started to go wrong. Because Nina was distracted by the phone and put down the injection, it was Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) who was calling saying he was looking for a job.

Nina’s Mistake May Blow Up Willow’s Plan

Now, I’m sure this is something to do with trying to find out what happened to Josslyn Jacks (Edene McCoy), you know, so that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) doesn’t go around worrying. Because they both suspect that Jack might be involved. So, Nina made a huge mistake by not giving Drew his gun.

And since Valentin is probably going to beg Nina to do what he wants ASAP, I don’t think he’s going to mind giving Drew a shot, you know, we’ll see. But if she doesn’t, this mistake by Nina could blow up Willow’s plan, blow up her life, literally, because missing her scheduled injection could help Drew work enough to get a message to someone.

So, while I doubt Nina forgetting the gun will be a miracle cure, it could be revolutionary. I don’t expect Drew to just get up and leave if his shot is a few hours late, especially since he’s been drugged and locked up for a few months. He should not be able to move around or run away. But then again, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) woke up from a long sleep and ran out the door. So, there is something to keep in mind.

Drew Will Try To Talk To Kai

But I think it will be Kai that Drew is trying to contact, since Nina was telling Willow to fire him. And Drew just found out that Kai knows Willow is the killer. Also, Drew really likes Kai. He knows that this young man is a good person. They became friends when he locked Drew on General Hospital.

And even though Kai’s opinion of Drew drops when he finds out how bad he is, Kai is still worried about Drew because he is Willow’s guardian and knows that he tried to kill her husband. And, knowing that Kai is going to do the right thing, you know, I think Drew can see right away that he’s the perfect person to try to connect with. Elizabeth would have been a good person to medically clarify, you know, what Willow is doing to Drew, but Willow seems to have convinced Liz to back off.

How Drew Could Be Saved by Kai on General Hospital

So, let’s talk about some ways Drew might end up saving Kai soon. First of all, if Drew is able to talk again because it looks like, you know, talking will come first and maybe physical movement later. Even if he could whisper just a few words to Kai, he could warn him of what was happening. You know, Drew could whisper, “Help me.

I think that will be enough to let Kai know that Willow has done something terrible to her husband again. You know, Drew might whisper, “Call 911.” And you know, Kai can drive an ambulance. And since she knows Willow’s schedule, she might be able to get an ambulance or the police when Willow isn’t around because she knows her schedule as it works for her.

General Hospital: Willow’s New Charge?

Although Willow will not, as we have talked about before, be arrested or charged with shooting Drew because that would be a double risk because he already had a case. She could be charged with abusing Drew, spousal abuse, I’m sure other charges, and that would put Willow in jail and make sure she loses her kids.

Another option is that Kai might think that’s enough. And when she finds out what Willow is doing to Drew, she may go to the police herself and tell the top cop Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that she knows Willow shot Drew. You know, Kai can go ahead and agree. Okay, look, I didn’t come clean before. But I was at Drew’s that night. I think he was going to, you know, his girlfriend. Leave Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) out. And Kai couldn’t say that he heard Willow’s ringtone for Wiley when the shooter was in the house. Then Kai tells the police about the drugs Willow is using on Drew now.

Kai Stands Up For Drew

And Kai may be willing to face whatever consequences there are for not coming forward. I mean, they could charge him with obstruction of justice, but Kai probably wouldn’t face any charges because he’d show up to save Drew from ongoing spousal abuse at the hands of his evil wife, Willow. I also think there’s a chance that Drew could whisper to Kai that Willow got him drunk and he might tell Kai, “Go tell Elizabeth.” You know, as he had already realized that she was trying to tell him something. Therefore, he may try a multi-pronged approach.

This is Drew’s Greatest Chance to Get Help

However it goes down, I think this is Drew’s biggest chance to get help and get out of this locked-in situation. And Kai seems to be his best option. Of course, Drew also knows that Sidwell is coming to kill him. He does not plan to let her out of this locked-up situation. So, there is a deep urgency there. And Willow, of course, doesn’t know that. So, I think if Nina is the reason Drew is out of this, Willow might be pissed. He knows he might even forgive Nina even though it’s an honest mistake.

Since the May sweep ends on May 20, next week is the last full sweep week. I was expecting Willow to explode and the devilish Drew to be saved from her during the sweep. So, things are going as well as I expected. And the thing is, the funny thing about this plot is that most fans hate Willow. Most fans don’t like Drew any better. Therefore, it is probably difficult to decide who would be happy in this situation. What I do know is that Cameron Mathison did a great job of acting using nothing but his eyes. I’m not sure if the eyeball stuff would be good for an Emmy reel, but it’s an impressive piece of work.
