Elle Macpherson Appears in Underwear Campaign at 62

El Macpherson starred in a new modeling campaign at the age of 62.
The Australian supermodel teamed up with designer Bonds to show off her Bases Flex bra and underwear, wearing the color Cotton Kiwi Kiss in an Instagram post on Saturday, April 4.
Macpherson said in a statement that working with Bonds on their “Let’s Talk About Flex” campaign is about encouraging people to embrace their “true selves.” She also credited the campaign with helping her celebrate her “inner flexibility”.
“My internal flexibility is doing what I feel is right for me,” he explained. “That cheeky Aussie attitude has been a part of my career and life journey since the beginning, so the versatility of my hat for this Bonds campaign really resonated with me, and felt like something I could really celebrate.”
The first one An Illustrated Swimming Story covergirl first announced her collaboration with Bonds in February with a variety of one- and two-piece ensembles by the designer.
“Let’s Talk about Flex.. Bases Flex redefines what it means to be truly confident and at home with your true self,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I find a sense of ease, depth and reliability in the @bondsaus Bases Flex collection.”
Macpherson began her modeling career in 1982 and reached the stratosphere in the industry by the end of the decade. He appeared on the cover of An Illustrated Swimming Story setting the record five times throughout his career.
She left the fashion industry to raise her two children and focus on other businesses in the late 1990s. (Macpherson shares sons Flynn Busson and Aurelius Cy Andrea Busson with his former partner Arpad Busson. (The model and Arpad split in 2005 after nine years together.)
In 2017, Macpherson was diagnosed with breast cancer after surgery. She was advised to have a mastectomy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and breast reconstruction surgery but opted for “a precise, heart-guided, holistic approach” instead.
“It was shocking, unexpected, confusing, terrifying in many ways,” he said. Women’s Weekly in 2024. “And it gave me the opportunity to dig deep into my inner self to find a solution that worked for me. … I realized that I would need my truth, my belief system to support me. And that’s what I did. So, it was a great exercise to be true to myself, trusting myself and trusting the nature of my body and the course that I had chosen.”
While Macpherson didn’t recommend an alternative treatment for all cases, he said he learned from his own battle with cancer that “there are never any guarantees.”
“I chose the holistic approach. Rejecting conventional medical solutions was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. But rejecting my inner sense would have been even harder,” he wrote in his 2024 memoir. Elle.

People thought I was crazy but I knew I had to make a choice that really affected me. For me, that meant dealing with the emotional and physical aspects of breast cancer. It was a time of deep, inner reflection. And that took courage.”
After her battle with cancer, Macpherson made a triumphant return to the runway after a 14-year hiatus as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival in March 2024. She walked down the runway for the Triumphant x PayPal show, wearing a pale yellow coat with a belt and matching Bianca yellow trousers, Victori o brown and Browd black trousers and a long brown fur coat.
