Ben Affleck he gave away his share of the interest in a Beverly Hills property he previously purchased with an ex-wife Jennifer Lopez to the pop star himself.
Affleck, 53, and Lopez, 56, amended their property settlement agreement in their divorce settlement, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly. (TMZ he was the first to report the news.)
“Parties will be responsible for any taxes arising as a result of transactions/transfers,” the documents said. “The parties agree that the transaction/transfer shall constitute a transfer of property between the spouses incident to divorce for income tax purposes.”
Affleck and Lopez purchased the residence for $60 million in June 2023. Us Weekly confirmed the following year that the couple put the house on the market during their divorce. (Affleck and Lopez were married from 2022 to 2024. The former split for good two decades after calling off their engagement in 2004.)
“They decided to list the house recently,” the source said you are only told Us Weekly July 2023. “They thought they could sell it off the market but they made a game time decision to take a closer look at the property. They rushed to sell it. Ben wants to be done with the house. He wasn’t happy there.”
About nine months later, Affleck and Lopez couldn’t agree on a listing price for the house.
“Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the house, so she wants to keep the price as it is,” a a second insider was told Us in April 2025. “The real estate market does not exist and does not sell.”
As for Affleck, a second source said he was in a rush to release the material.
“Ben wants to end it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut ties and do it,” a second insider said. Us. “He wants it to end and he wants to sell it, he wants to lower the price.”
The house was there taken off the market about three months later in July 2025 when the listing expires.
Affleck and Lopez they finalized their divorce in February 2025.

“Part of it was, ‘Okay, if I’m going to be involved in this, I want to try to do it in an honest and interesting way,'” he told the outlet. “Because I thought it was an interesting experiment … I thought, ‘Oh, this is interesting because how do you reconcile that?’ I love and support this person. I believe in them. They are beautiful. I want people to see that.”
Affleck was previously married to her Jennifer GarnerHe has three children living with him. Lopez, on the other hand, is the mother of twins Max and Emme, 18, who she shares with her ex-husband. Marc Anthony.
