Jalen Brunson’s sister is ripping ESPN for crying out for Stephen A Smith’s Knicks

The sister of New York Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson called out ESPN after personality Stephen A. Smith focused on her brother’s team and best friend, Josh Hart, during the “First Take” segment.
Smith called out Hart, Brunson’s teammate and “Roommates Show” podcast host, as the Knicks have struggled in recent games, especially against NBA teams with an above-.500 record.
Erica Brunson, Jalen’s sister, took the time to post on X on Wednesday, where she ripped the “Global Leader” after listening to Smith’s speech about the Knicks.

“I used to turn off ESPN in the background during the day,” wrote Erica Brunson at X. “It was a staple when I was growing up. Now? I never turn it on. And this is the main reason we do. It’s so funny.”
This post was inspired by a video of Smith’s comments about the Knicks, who have lost three games in a row.

When the team was in the playoff spot, Smith took direct aim at Hart.
“A message to Josh Hart: Do I need to shut the hell up now? Does what I’m saying now make sense? I mean, do you hear it now?” Smith said. “You haven’t won a game since you clapped at me. You’re as bad as you’ve ever responded to me. Maybe if you prioritize what I’m saying, and pay attention to the substance and truth of my comments instead of defending your guys, you’ll be winning games against teams that are better than .500 with their record.
“Am I making sense now? Because I don’t get personal. I’m talking about basketball, because every time you go up against a decent guy, you wet the bed. You’re like 4-8, or 4-9, against teams that have won since the All-Star break. But 9-0 against teams that are under.

The Knicks may have struggled of late, but they are still winners of seven of their last 10 contests. But Smith added that the struggle will be against the teams they will see in the play-offs soon.
“The New York Knicks are a few weeks away from the playoffs, and Josh Hart is on camera saying, ‘We’re going in the wrong direction. You know, what’s supposed to get our stuff together.’ We are looking for a group that does not have a specific identity. “We are looking for a team that New York Knicks fans know is talented, they know they are at a level of play,” said Smith.
Like her brother, Erica Brunson attended Villanova, graduating in 2023 with a degree in communications and a minor in education. He currently works at CAA, Jalen’s agency, for basketball clients and marketing services.
