3.20 Friday Faves – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday! How was the week? I hope you had a good one! We got away for some beach time, Kleiger family time and cool weather in San Diego – it was great. The week ended with a fun little golf tournament with friends, an afternoon at the pool,

and watching the Wildcats win!
I’d love to hear what you do!
It’s time to round up the weekly Faves. I always love to hear about your favorites of the week and across the web, so please shout out your favorites in the comments section below.
3.20 Friday Faves
Fashion, beauty, random:
San Diego!! We took a non-rev flight and had two full days in one of our favorite places. We arrived at 7am (WHEW) and were on the Better Buzz drive past by 8:15. No. too bad.

We also got gluten-free donuts and pastries from Phatties and they were everything. A little on the dense side (which I honestly love) and fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back!
We knew we would have time until our hotel room was ready, so we went to Mission beach. The weather was a dream.

UP loved playing with us and running in the waves, and Liv and I spent a lot of time relaxing in a beach dress. After we got up at 3:45, I either slept on the beach or I didn’t get a little sunburn.
(We packed this sandcastle set and this hold is in our trunk. We bought a beach dress and soccer ball at one of the Belmont stores)
After beach time, the girls were hungry, so we headed to Belmont Park for lunch, P and I got henna tattoos,

and the girls did a ropes course and some climbing.
Our hotel was ready, so we headed back to shower and rest for a few hours, then we met up with the Klegers for dinner to celebrate Wyatt’s birthday!

We ate at Benihana and it was the first time I’ve had hibachi since going gluten-free and I didn’t feel like dying afterwards. Sauces usually kill my stomach and they use gluten free soy sauce in mine and P’s entrees. It was amazing!! We also had Menchie’s later before calling it a night.
The next day we slept,
I enjoyed a coffee while watching the fish and stingrays in the harbor,

and had a historic breakfast at the Gaslamp Breakfast Company.
This is Goat (goat cheese with caramelized onions and bacon – they got me turkey bacon), gluten-free toast, and a hazelnut decaf almond milk latte.

This is one of our new top breakfast spots in San Diego, and we have a few on the list 😉
After bfast, we went to a K Pop store (Liv’s request), which was inside an amazing Korean market. I loved looking at all the food and Liv was able to get a few souvenirs for herself and a friend.
Then it was back to the beach 🙂 We spent another full afternoon at the Mission, swimming, playing fish, and building sand castles, until it was time to leave. We went back to the Kleiger’s to say, “see you soon” before catching an Uber to the airport. Ironically, we were in Tucson on Tuesday….and Wednesday… but still had a lot of San Diego fun in between.
