Piers Morgan Says Russell Brand Was Inappropriately Tactile

Piers Morgan he seemed very uncomfortable when he talked to her recently Russell Brandwhich spread because the comedian had trouble finding a passage from the Bible.

“I’ve never had a guest sneak in the wrong way during an interview, which surprised me considering the allegations he’s facing,” Morgan, 61, told a fan on X on Monday, April 27.

The fan first pointed out that “Brand’s touch was very offensive” throughout this Piers Morgan Uncensored interview, in which Morgan himself admitted that the experience was “weird, yeah.”

Friday, April 25, episode of Piers Morgan Uncensoredthe host asked Brand, who is 50 years old, to say a part of the Bible that was important to him.

Brand agreed to share an excerpt he read before a recent court hearing in the UK, where he faces charges of rape, sexual assault and harassment based on allegations by four different women between 1999 and 2005. Brand said that he was producing the same Bible that he brought to the court to read part of Isaiah but he could not find it. Morgan watched in complete silence as Brand searched for nearly 90 seconds, unable to find a verse.

“The verse I was looking at that day was …. Not this … actually I can’t find the verse I had that day,” Brand finally admitted. “But this is good enough. This is from Isiah 12.”

The clip quickly went viral, prompting Brand to try to explain himself to his followers on X on Sunday, April 26.

“I’m still looking at that verse from Piers Morgan. Wait for it… wait for it. See, it was tagged all the time,” Brand told his fans. “I was looking for it. I thought, ‘I’ve got to find the right episode – the one I was watching while I was sitting in the dark in the courtroom.’

Then he read part of Isaiah 43:18-19, saying, “Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it is growing; don’t you see? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wilderness.'”

Brand asked his followers if they felt that whatever they “experienced personally would be connected to something universal.”

“That our whole culture is like a wasteland?” he continued. “I mean, the political situation — globally and domestically, wherever you are, but also, you know, globally. And it’s kind of … this is not a good time in the world. It’s like the 20s but also the Roaring 20’s were between the wars.”

Brand added, “And maybe from a larger perspective or a sacred perspective the world has been caught up in such tension and that’s really what this book and the prophecies of Isaiah are saying – that it’s not a local thing.”

Meanwhile, Morgan responded to the clip’s viral status by sharing an awkward photo of Brand appearing to bless him before the interview – including putting his hand on the host’s shoulder.

“I knew my interview with Russell Brand was going to be interesting when he insisted we both pray before we started,” he laughed on X on Friday, adding on Monday, “The pre-show prayer was almost as painful as the extended Bible reading…”
