Will Jessica Treska Get a Euphoria Spinoff After the Series Finale?

EuphoriaThe series finale left fans divided – but some viewers are on the same page about what might happen next Jessica TreskaA fictional religious character who is removed from society.

Treska’s Daisy Miller was first introduced in season 3 as Rue (Zendaya) left the Miller family home behind. He later referred to this place many times when he called it the most “peaceful place” he had ever visited. Daisy, on the other hand, showed interest in Rue’s life since she was completely out of touch with modernity.

Daisy is reintroduced at the end when Ali (Colman Domingo) visited the ranch after avenging Rue’s death by killing his boss Alamo Brown in a massive massacre. She simply told Daisy that her friend was “in a better place” and Daisy seemed shaken by the news as the group prayed for Rue.

“Why do I just feel like she’s going to be the next interviewer instead of Rue,” read a post by X to a viewer. “The way the camera focused on him this episode felt very purposeful.”

While some social media users agreed that there could be more Daisy-centric episodes, others were quick to point out that Euphoria is officially done. Creator Sam Levinson confirmed the news after Rue was killed on Sunday, May 31.

“The honest conclusion is that people like Rue don’t make it,” Levinson said in the post-final segment. “People are going crazy again. They’re not ready to get clean. And they weren’t dying like they are now with the fentanyl influx in this country.”

Levinson recalled his own struggles with addiction.

“I can say with confidence that if I had gone through what I went through when I was young, I wouldn’t be here either,” he added before making the reference. Angus CloudDeath from accidental overdose. “There’s no reason to whitewash it. I wanted to tell the story of Angus and the people who weren’t given a second chance.”

Levinson called the ending “a sincere ending.” He previously revealed his plan to dedicate the season to Cloud, who died at the age of 25 before the final episodes began filming. In one of Rue’s final moments, she has a flashback to a moment she shared with Cloud’s character, Fezco “Fez” O’Neill.

“Some people ask why it took so long between seasons 2 and 3. There were the obvious elements — the strikes, trying to make the show work with our most sought-after characters, but the real time was trying to find a way to honor those we’ve lost,” Levinson said at the April premiere of season 3.

She added: “When Angus died, it was hard. I loved him deeply, and I fought hard to keep him clean. The year he died, 2023, he was one of the 73,000 people in America who died of a fentanyl overdose. I learned a lot that year, but what I realized more than anything else is that death is what gives life meaning. You can’t force the presence of truth. That life itself is amazing, it’s a gift, it’s a great blessing.”

Euphoria now streaming on HBO Max.
