Which FBI Stars Are – And Are Not Returning – Season 9?

The FBI is coming back for season 9 – but are all the characters coming back?

Created by Law and Order the creator Dick Wolf, The FBIwhich premiered in 2018, follows agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York City. The crew endured their fair share of ups and downs – and Maggie (Missy Peregrym) faced with a tragedy when serial slasher Ray DiStefano (Matthew Rauch) kidnapped and killed his sister, Erin (Adrienne Rose Bengtsson).

“I think what we’re doing is very important, because we’re highlighting the way to move forward. Everyone experiences loss. Everyone goes through deep emotions in life,” he explained to Deadline in March. “You have the opportunity to show connection, relationship, intimacy and growth. And that’s why I do what I do. I hope this makes people feel recognized and want to continue following such a terrible experience, and not give up.”

Peregrym was optimistic about the program’s plans.

“To go far, I was like, ‘What do we do after this?’ “You know, I’ve been playing the same character for eight years, and we’re still going,” he said. “What’s the plan? How are we going to go about the next steps of getting you back on your feet and being able to be in the world again? This is not a game where we sit in our underwear and talk on the sofa. We have to get back to work.”

He concluded, “So we’re going to talk about the reality of the situation at some point, and we’re doing it, we’re doing it the best way we can with our show, the way we’re doing it procedurally. But you know, as scary as it is, I was afraid to step into that space at the end. I find it really interesting to play this character of mine and when I get my job. The challenge feels like we’re doing a new show again.

I’m investing a lot of money in my life to do this?”

After joining the show in season 8, Martinez expressed her hope that she will stay on the show as Eva Ramos.

“Before I got on the show, I sat down with the showrunner Mike Weiss and he told me what he thought Eva would be. That was the deciding factor for me to be like, ‘Yeah, this is something that’s really interesting to me. This is something that I think I can give and give value to and make it fun and different,'” he told us exclusively Weekly. “When you join a new show, you get a chance to do something different. It was definitely like, ‘Okay, how can you show different sides of the job? How can you show different women doing something different?'”
