The Young and the Restless: Nick Destroys Amnesiac Matt!

The Young and the Restless brings Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to Genoa City this week, but he doesn’t remember his life or who he is. So, this is obviously a big win for the Newmans, especially Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who has a big score to settle with Matt after drinking too much and trying to kill him.

And Nick will meet Matt this week. So, we’re going to talk about how Nick can kill Matt while he’s suffering from amnesia, a head injury, and basically an easy target. Now, let’s talk about what happens to the bad guy.

Nick Runs Into Matt At GCAC on The Young and the Restless

That’s right. So, Nick runs into Matt Clark GCAC where he went after the fatal incident in Las Vegas with the simple key of the room in his pocket. Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) hit Matt in the head with a rock several times and thought she had killed him. So, I think the boy has a traumatic brain injury that causes him to lose his memory. And this week, Nick sees Matt right after talking to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), who didn’t know him, didn’t want to talk to him, and left. Then Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) talked to Matt, but it’s Nick who will really want to talk to Matt.

He will be surprised to find out that the criminal has lost his memories. Then on Friday, The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that Nick tells Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) a secret. I think Matt came back with no memories, he doesn’t know who he is, and he can’t fight them. So, obviously, Nick will want to take advantage of this situation. Let’s talk about what he can do.

Nick May Lure Matt Away And Keep Him Somewhere On Y&R

First, Nick might lure Matt away GCAC and scare him somewhere. You know, Nick can lie and say they’re old friends and he’ll take him home and lock Matt in a warehouse or a barn on a farm or chain him up in an abandoned building.

I’m sure Genoa City has them. And then Nick might tell Victoria that Matt is safe and vulnerable and he’s going to crush him. And Nick might say to Victoria, “Don’t tell anyone else. You know, I’ll decide who to tell.” And I think Nick might want a little time to think about the best way to punish Matt.

Of course, the Newmans were all hoping that Sienna really did kill Matt, but the police still haven’t found the body, so there are doubts. And then right now Nick stumbles upon him without the memories that give them superpowers.

So, Nick might just need a minute to wrap his head around this big Matt twist and figure out the best course of action. Nick wants Matt neutral, maybe dead. But I wonder if Nick might feel like Matt is as weak as a cat and it’s no sport to put him down like this.

Nick’s Out for Revenge on Young and the Restless

Now Nick tends to be a hothead. He acts first, thinks later, usually strikes first, maybe thinks later, but this time he might surprise us and really consider what to do with Matt just because of what is or isn’t going on in his brain.

I mean, Nick could always turn Matt in to the police for trying to kill them all in Vegas, but I feel like Nick might not trust the legal system because they went that route before and Matt was able to handle things and get away with it. And let’s be real, Nick wants revenge.

Nick Can Bring Adam to Gang Up Matt on Y&R

So, after he tells Victoria, we can see Nick bring in his little brother Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and talk to him about what he’s thinking of doing to Matt, you know, or Nick can bring Adam in to see where he’s got Matt locked up and ask, “Okay, what do we do from here?” And Nick and Adam can meet in Matt.

They may mark the team and kick the saint out of him for all he has done to them and their loved ones. You know, remember Nick and Adam were taking Matt out to beat him up a lot when the guy grabbed the wheel and caused a car accident that broke Nick’s leg.

But Nick hitting on Matt when he doesn’t know who he is or who they are is problematic. So Nick and Adam beating him together seems even worse. They might want Matt to get his memories back. So Nick and Adam won’t feel bad about punishing a guy who doesn’t know what he did to cause this. It, as I said, does not appear to be a sport even though he is a bad person.

Nick Can Force Matt To Use Drugs

Another thing that needs to be looked at with Matt is that they don’t just put him down humanly because let’s face it, he needs a dirty nap. When his memories come back, he will be a threat to the family again. But Nick may have some drugs left over that he can force Matt to take. And it would be ironic if Nick caused Matt to overdo it.

I think that would be the perfect revenge for Nick because they wouldn’t attack an unknown amnesiac, but then they could get rid of Matt without violence. And since he almost killed Nick with drugs, it could be karma. Remember, Matt had that dealer give Nick a bonus bag that was a bad batch on purpose that he knew would overindulge and kill Nick.

The Young and the Restless: Nikki May be Hiding the Truth from Sharon & Sienna

That way, you know, if Matt is still suffering from amnesia, they can give him pills like that, remove him painlessly using the method that Matt himself used on people and still give the family the closure they need. Another thing to consider is that Nick might not want Sharon Newman (The Sharon Case) and Noah Newman to know that Matt is in town. So Sienna tells them that Matt is dead, but now she has incredible doubts, saying that maybe he survived. Maybe he’s in Genoa City now. So Nick might decide the best thing is not to scare Sienna and Sharon. And he and Adam take care of Matt, kill the boy, not even tell the rest of the family until it’s over and done.

And then Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) security guys, I’m sure, can get the body out. But when it’s all over and Matt’s gone, then Nick can go back and tell Sharon, Sienna, and Noah, look, it’s over. Matt is truly dead, he will never be a threat to us again. And in that way, Noah, Sharon, and Sienna could shut down because Sienna is like immobile right now and she needs to know it’s over.

And Nick can tell him, “Hey, look, you didn’t kill him. Someone else killed him. You know, me.” So, if he goes ahead and kills Matt, I think that would be the best outcome for everyone. And I don’t think anyone in the family except maybe Sharon would have a problem with Nick killing needlessly where Matt is concerned.

Nick Might Want To Harass Matt For A Moment On Y&R

The last thing is that Nick might want to torture Matt for a while, not let him off the hook, like Victor used to do with crazy Aunt Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk). So Nick might hold Matt for a while, torture him, make his memories come back. That way, Nick can laugh while Matt realizes that all his tricks and scheming come to this result.

I’m sure Nick wants to be counted, and that’s not really possible since Matt’s memories are gone. But Nick could lock him up, get him involved in drugs, abuse him, take him out. And if so, I think Matt’s memories would come back and at that point he would probably escape and create the Newman people because that way we still get the final boss battle with an explosive climax. You know, if Nick just takes him out when Matt doesn’t know anything, that’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

Nick May Lock Matt Up on Young and the Restless

Then again, there is another option. You know, Nick could have Matt put in a safe mental facility and leave him there until his memories come back and come back to kill him. But that would be anticlimactic. That being said, Josh Griffith is a terrible writer and I was very happy to see that he is no longer the executive producer.

As long as they get him out of the writer’s chair, too, I guess Y&R it would be much better. So, I wouldn’t put it past him to do something really lazy. I hope not because it’s May and we’re sweeping. Hopefully, we will get this boss fight and Nick will kill him. But doing it while he has amnesia, like I said, doesn’t sound very sportsmanlike. We will see. But Nick will feel like he’s won the revenge lottery this week when he bumps into a clueless and confused Matt at GCAC this week.
