The Wings’ defense faces a big test against the top-scoring Lynx in a key game of the WNBA regular season.

I need to change it up a bit from betting on baseball and soccer. The football problems were going well because I was trying to learn them, so I split the units and I didn’t lose much. Lately, baseball has been stressing me out. I can’t seem to win, so I’m going back to my favorite sport – basketball. I love basketball and I don’t care if it’s college, NBA, or WNBA. I will see if it will be good for me as we play Minnesota Lynx vs. Dallas Wings.

The Lynx have not lost this season, running their record to 14-4. This is surprising considering the team is without its best player, Napheesa Collier. If you’re not familiar, Collier is an MVP-level player for the Lynx. He hasn’t even started court duties yet, so he could be out for the rest of the season. She injured her ankle in 2025 against Alyssa Thomas, who also made headlines for shoving Caitlin Clark’s throat.

The story of this group is not about Collier, however. The story is that Olivia Miles has dominated them this year. He was the second overall pick and looks like he will be Rookie of the Year. He averaged 18.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists this season. The story is also about the depth of the Lynx. They have a number of talented players on the roster and have continued on from last year’s success. If they bring back Collier, they could jump into the popular titles.

The Dallas Wings looked strong in their campaign. For two straight seasons, they had the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Draft. They are now 11-7 and should at least be a playoff contender. With last year’s first pick, they took Paige Bueckers, who turned out to be the Rookie of the Year and one of the best players in the league. With the pick this season, they picked up Azzi Fudd, who has started to contribute a lot. He is a deadly shooter, but I personally think he struggles to make his own shots.

With Bueckers’ athleticism, he can stop all of his teammates, especially Fudd. The biggest problem with the team is still the defense. They continue to allow more points to opponents and more easy buckets. Teams are averaging nearly 86 points per game against the Wings. In their last five games, they have allowed 99, 110, 92, 91, and 66 points. Apparently, one of those was an anomaly.

Does that mean we’re just betting blindly? Of course not. The Lynx were one of the best defensive teams in basketball last season, and they remain one of the best this year. This is a deep and balanced team that prides itself on its defense. However, Dallas has allowed 90 and 100 points to the Lynx in these two games this season.

I think the Lynx team as a whole looks strong in this game. They can score goals and are one of the most efficient teams in the league. I also think that Miles is looking forward to this match with Fudd. I will take over their entire team. Even if Dallas makes this good play, they will still show me that they can stop the Minnesota offense.
