The Bright and Beautiful: Katie’s New Designer Is Ridge’s Scandalous Ex?

Bold and Beautiful Katie Logan (Heather Tom) wonders what to do after Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) collection becomes a major victim Logan. But Katie worries about being considered a one-hit wonder. Basically, you need a new lead designer.

And as expected, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) tries to recruit Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) to come to the company. And yes, that would give Katie a new line, and I’m sure Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) will be along.

But that still doesn’t solve the lead designer’s problem. So, we will talk about This is Logan’s place the new lead designer could have a nod from Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) past.

Katie Needs a New Lead Designer at Bold and the Beautiful

So, right now, Katie is trying to figure out what’s next Logan. It was then that Liam increasingly wanted Hope to leave Forrester Creations because he said they didn’t notice him and value him the same way they did to Katie and others. So, Liam seems to visualize his wife coming to him Logan to create a line simply called Hope. So, although Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) would have to go without any finished designs, I actually think that’s okay because they weren’t Hope’s idea. That was something that was forced upon him.

I think Liam, Katie, and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) can sell this to Hope and she’s going to bring her brother, Deke, with her as her designer and she has a bunch of designs sitting around. So, bringing in Hope and Deke would be great, you know, but he’s a relative newcomer as a designer. She has no experience being Katie’s lead designer. So I suspect that Bold and Beautiful it will bring in a new actor or it may bring back someone who was a designer in the past Bold and Beautiful. So, I want to talk about a few options.

Designer’s Choice #1: Sally Spectra Returns to Bold?

First, there’s Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). We must consider him. I love Courtney Hope, but right now Sally is in Genoa City. He has his own media company. She recently got pregnant and recently married to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

So, I doubt we’ll see Sally come back Bold and Beautifulalthough I like the character. But there are other possible options. So, let’s talk about them. Be sure to stick around until the end though as the last thing we’ll discuss is the nuclear option, a blast from Ridge’s shameful past that Bill may use to blow up Ridge and punish Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) for hurting Katie.

#2 choice for B&B designer: Clarke Garrison

So, another to consider now that Sally is off the table will be Clark Garrison (Daniel McVicar). He is a seasoned designer. He was abroad Spectra Fashions. And he was working too Forrester Creations. When did he come back later Spectra Fashions he was Jackie M. And if you were watching at the time, you may remember that Clarke was charming, a ladies’ man, and an inventor. He has not been seen in years, so his return as This is Logan’s place A lead designer would definitely shake things up, but it wouldn’t be the most dramatic choice.

Designer’s Choice #4: Nicole Avant Returning to the Bold and the Beautiful?

Also worth considering is Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards). She is the younger sister of Maya Avant (Karla Mosley). She came to Los Angeles wanting to be a model. Nicole was also a bit of a schemer and ended up being a junior designer Forrester International, but that was years ago, so he has years of experience. So, he can talk to Katie again about design Logan. That could mess things up for Zende, Nicole’s ex-husband. They divorced about six years ago. So, you know, he might come back to get payback from Zende, but again, that seems like a long shot.

Bold Design Choice #5: Amber Moore

Another designer to consider is Amber Moore (Adrienne Frantz). He started Bold and Beautiful as a goldsmith and another designer. And if you remember back in the day, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) helped Amber get a job as a nanny for Eric and Brooke’s kids, Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young).

And from there, Amber fell in love with Rick, who was younger than her. Amber really wanted to be a fashion designer, and she ended up working Forrester Creations and later and moved on to Spectra Fashions. You’re out Bold and Beautiful many years.

The actress is still working as far as I know, and I’m sure Amber can do great when she returns as Katie’s new designer, but I’m not sure how believable Amber is. Now, he would like to crush the Forresters, but the problem is that Amber has a dirty history with Bill and Liam. And that’s why I think it’s a long shot.

Designer’s Choice #6: Jack Marone

Another thing to consider is that it will be very difficult for the Forresters if Katie hires Jack, who is the son of Nick and Brooke. Now, if you remember, Taylor carried and gave birth to Jack, but she didn’t mean to have Brooke and Nick’s son. So, there was an accidental embryo exchange back in the day. Taylor was married to Nick, she wanted so much to have a child of her own, she did in vitro, but she was arrested with Brooke’s egg. It was some sort of laboratory error.

So, when Nick returned last year, he and Brooke mentioned that their son Jack was in Paris working in fashion. I’m sure Nick is very salty that Brooke went back to Ridge and remarried him. So, I saw Nick encouraging his son Jack to go to work Logan and her aunt Katie to annoy both Ridge and Brooke. I think that makes sense, especially with Jack’s sister Hope who might be going to him Logan again, but I don’t think it would be the soapiest option.

Nuclear Option – #7: Morgan DeWitt

Let’s talk about something that could be nuclear. It’s a blast from Ridge’s past that would be a surprising twist if they brought her on as Katie’s lead designer. Let’s talk about Morgan DeWitt (Sarah Buxton). At that time, he arrived Forrester Creations as a model. She had a falling out with Ridge and became pregnant, but her mother Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) pressured her to have an abortion. And after Ridge’s mom forced her to abort the pregnancy, Morgan went nuts. He hated Stephanie and continued to focus on Ridge.

So, Morgan returned to B&B in 2000 when Brooke hired Morgan to design her Forrester Creations. At the time, Ridge was married to Taylor, and Morgan returned to the scene with her full attention. She played nice with Taylor when she planned to get Ridge pregnant to replace the baby her mother had aborted. So, Morgan put Ridge to bed, and she became pregnant, but miscarried. And Morgan got even madder. He kidnapped Taylor one time. And he kidnapped Steffy Forrester back when she was a child. He tried to drown Ridge’s mother, Stephanie, and eventually, Morgan was arrested and sent to a mental institution.

The Bright and Good: Bill Blows Up Ridge’s Life

Now, I doubt Katie will convince Morgan to bring her on as her lead designer. All that being said, Bill can do it. You know, they say there’s a thin line between genius and madness. So, Morgan may still be fully psychotic but he’s also an amazing designer, you know, and I think Bill would like to bring back a nightmare like him from Ridge’s past. All the things that Brooke and Ridge are saying that Katie, you know, stole Eric’s designs, all that kind of stuff.

And the way Bill feels like they’ve hurt his wife, you know, bringing in Morgan Logan it would be like setting off a nuclear bomb that will blow up Ridge and Brooke because I’m sure Morgan will walk into Ridge. And Sarah Buxton, who played Morgan, is still a working actress. So, I think this really makes sense. She’s a villain who equates to bad girls not as bad as Sheila, but she’s pretty close.
