Teacher Arrested for Raising Child Found Crushing Student

A middle school art teacher in Texas has been arrested after she was accused of “babysitting” and allegedly admitted to having an affair with a teenage boy.
Haley Krista Radabaugh was arrested on May 15 after several students at Barbara Bush Middle School came forward with allegations involving a teacher and student, the Irving Police Department confirmed. Us Weekly.
Students told a school resource officer that Radabaugh, 28, “was known to have inappropriate sexual interactions with three middle school students and to provide drugs to students,” according to an arrest warrant seen by NBC 5.
Radabaugh allegedly began sending sexually suggestive messages to the student on Instagram, including messages such as, “There was a kid I hit hard before you,” and “I’ll tell you.
Investigators continued that Radabaugh posted “a picture of what appears to be him getting out of the shower.” The photo is allegedly taken “between the breasts” and appears to show her entire face. Although the photo does not show nudity, investigators have confirmed that Radabaugh was naked when it was taken.
Radabaugh allegedly used “kissing emojis showing affection” in the messages and “called the victim ‘babe,'” according to the charging documents.
The arrest warrant further stated that “the victim described himself as disgusted and losing sleep after the defendant sent him a message.”
After her arrest, Radabaugh was charged with child endangerment. It is not yet clear whether he pleaded guilty or retained a lawyer after his arrest.
Radabaugh has since been released from custody after posting a $250,000 bond.
Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD confirmed that police are investigating allegations against the “former” employee.
“While we are limited in what we can disclose, we are deeply distressed and saddened by these incidents,” a district spokesperson said in a statement, per NBC 5.
The Irving Police Department had no additional information to share about the case when contacted by Us.
Katia Gonzalezwho works with the Alliance for Children in Fort Worth, told the agency that child abuse often happens to “someone you wouldn’t think would hurt a child.”
Gonzalez, who is not directly related to this case, also said that on social media “friendship” between children and teachers is always considered inappropriate regardless of what topics they discuss.
He added that child groomers often use the “power of electronic grooming” to begin isolating their victims.
“We’re seeing a lot of our cases that actually lead to sexual abuse starting with electronic communication until most youth serving organizations, like schools or educational settings, have specific policies to prevent and prevent contact with children outside of those school activities,” Gonzalez said. “There are many platforms built for proper, safe communication, where everything is visible and there is no single connection.”
