Late NHL Star’s Wife, Children

NHL star Claude LemieuxHockey’s death has left the hockey community devastated.
Us Weekly confirmed on Thursday, May 28, that the hockey legend, who won four Stanley Cup championships, died at the age of 60.
“He was loved by his wife and four children, and on behalf of the Lemieux family, we kindly ask that everyone respect his privacy during this difficult time,” the NHL Alumni announced at the time.
Us he later confirmed that Lemieux was found dead in an apparent suicide at a warehouse owned by one of his grown sons.
His family, made up of his wife Deborah Lemieux with his four children, Michael, Christopher, Brendan again Claudiathey never talked about his death as NHL fans mourned the loss.

Claude Lemieux’s first wife
Little is known about the NHL player’s first wife, except that they reportedly separated in the early 1990s. The exes have two children, sons Michael and Christopher.
Deborah Lemieux

Courtesy of Deborah Lemieux/InstagramClaude married his second wife, Deborah, in the mid-90s in the Bahamas, according to The New York Times. According to Claude, Deborah said he was a “mobster” when they first met, before he won her over while dating in New York City.
“He’s a big old bear,” Deborah said New York Times in the 1990s for his partner. People think you are tough, but you are very simple.
The couple went on to welcome two children, son Brendan and daughter Claudia, in 1996 and 1997, respectively.

Brendan Lemieux

Harry How/Getty ImagesBrendan was born in March 1996 to Claude and Deborah. He followed in his father’s footsteps, being drafted into the NHL in 2014. He played for the Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers and Carolina Hurricanes from 2016 to 2024.
Brendan signed a three-year contract with HC Davos in Switzerland in December 2024.
Brendan welcomed his first child, son Luc Robert Lemieux, in March 2025, with his partner, Brookie.
Claudia Lemieux

Claudia married a baseball player Hunter Bishop in 2024 after apparently meeting at ASU. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in February 2026.
Jocelyn Lemieux
Jocelyn Lemieux he is one of Claude’s two brothers. Jocelyn was born in November 1967 and played in the NHL. He was part of seven NHL teams in 13 seasons before finishing his professional career with the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the International Hockey League. Brother of Claude and Jocelyn Serge was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, according to reports.
