Jacobs was released from custody on May 27 and has returned to the field for OTAs while the District Attorney’s Office reviews the evidence before making a formal decision to charge.

Love admitted that there are still many unknowns about the situation as the legal process continues.

“But like I said, we’ll let it play out.

“There’s a lot of uncertainty when you hear something like that, what could happen. But we’ll see, we’ll let it play out and go from there.”

Although the organization has remained silent in public, Love said discussions have taken place internally.

“Yes, we have discussed it internally,” Thando said. “Everybody knows what the situation is. We’ve discussed it, but obviously the details, everybody’s keeping that under wraps right now, out of respect for the situation and obviously all the legal stuff that’s going to be in play.”

Despite the uncertainty, Love said it was normal as Jacobs returned to the practice field with his teammates.

“But it’s good to have Josh here with us, to be able to work with us and get back to work,” he added. “But yeah, everybody waits and lets it play itself out.”
