Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki in ‘Supernatural’

Padalecki and Ackles played the monster-hunting duo from 2005 to 2020. After appearing in more than 300 episodes of the hit series, Padalecki told Exclusive Us Weekly that he felt he would “never really say goodbye” to his character.
“We’ve really become a family,” he said at the time about the trip. “In 15 years, we’ve cut the fat. We haven’t fired anyone, but if they don’t want to be there, they continue, so the people who are there want to be there.”
Ackles felt the same way, which encouraged him to extend the record Supernatural the whole place. (The Winchesters The series ran from 2022 to 2023 and focuses on parents Dean (Ackles) and Sam (Padalecki) in the ’70s.)
“It’s a long journey,” quipped Ackles during a TV Critics’ Association tour panel that year. “I don’t think it will ever pass, it will only pass for a while, I don’t know how long.”
