Rob Reiner again Michele Singer Reinerson Jake Reiner returned to his podcast “The Inline” almost six months after the tragic death of his parents.
“I want to thank everyone I’ve heard from, near and far, since everything has happened,” Jake, 34, began the Wednesday, May 6, episode of his Dodgers fan. a podcast. “I tried to get back to you all, and I will continue to try to answer people, but know that I have seen all the love, all the support out there.
He continued, “It’s been great to see how great, not just my friends and family, but the Dodgers Twitter community or the X community. I really feel the love. I couldn’t appreciate that more. I thought it was time to get back on the podcast. I’ve been thinking about it for a really long time, talking to Kevin [Klein, my cohost] so temporarily. I told him I wanted to write this story or an op-ed piece first.”
Jake published a Substack article last month, describing his grief after Rob and Michele were found dead in their home in December 2025. They were 78 and 70, respectively. (Rob and Michele are also survived by a daughter Romy and a son Nick, the latter of whom was arrested in connection with their murders. Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder and a special count of multiple murder and is awaiting trial.)

Jake went on to point to his Instagram page and his Substack article for fans who want to hear more about his thoughts on Rob and Michele’s death.

They were the last people on earth who deserved what happened to them. They deserved to be loved, they deserved to be respected, and most of all they deserved to be appreciated for the way they gave to the three of us around the world and to us.”
According to Jake, he took to Substack to share his “story” and noted that Romy would “tell it in his own way and in his own time.”
