Country star Brantley Gilbert is entering the non-alcoholic beer market

Brantley Gilbert, a seven-time singer and songwriter, has experienced more than one time in his life when his 14-year-old sanity seemed to fall by the wayside.

“There’s nothing better than a cold beer when you’re grilling or watching a game with your friends, your family. And as a country music songwriter, we write about cold beer in every other song,” Gilbert told Fox News Digital.

“This is an opportunity for those of us who have cut alcohol out of our lives for some reason to drink a cold beer,” he said, “and share it with our friends.”

The oldest and youngest generations of Americans are drinking less, and US alcohol consumption is falling the most in nearly a century, according to the report. 2025 Gallup Usage Trends survey. Only 54% of adults reported drinking alcohol in the past year, and half of 18- to 34-year-olds did not drink at all – down from 72% of young adults who drank two decades ago.

The desire to reduce alcohol consumption has fed into the emerging market of non-alcoholic beers and wines, of which Gilbert is now proudly a part.

From fan to owner, the country music powerhouse is Real American Beer’s (RAB) latest major equity partner. He leads the launch of RAB Zero, the first non-alcoholic beverage that promises “the power of real beer” without compromise.

For every case sold, RAB plans to donate $1 to the USO

“RAB people are next-level people, and they love the country,” Gilbert said. “They’re about God, family and country, and that’s easy for me to get into.”

Real American Beer aims to differentiate itself from competitors by making beer part of a meaningful experience rather than focusing on the product itself. The brand was launched in 2024 and honors its late founder, Hulk Hogan.

Led by former Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO Terri Francis, he previously told FOX Business that it was Hogan’s dream to be “bigger than Bud Light” before his death in July 2025 at age 71, more than a year after launching the company.

“[Growing] up, watching wrestling, I thought Hulk Hogan was almost the second coming, and to have the opportunity to meet him and know that he was on Real American Freestyle, I had the opportunity to kind of be friends with him and write a song about that, what he wanted to sound like,”Gilbert pointed out. And obviously that was only Americans.”

“I don’t really partner with people I don’t believe in or products I don’t use myself,” he added. “Having a hand in the game obviously adds to the equation.”

Gilbert, who has been sober since December 2011, explained why he wanted a product that allowed people to participate in “beer moments” without alcohol.

“I finally accepted that I’m allergic to alcohol as if I’m getting out of handcuffs and bad decisions,” said Gilbert.

“It’s not that I can’t drink. It’s that I choose not to drink, you know what I mean? A choice. And I think people have a little respect for that… This is an option… for beer lovers like me to still blow up and enjoy your friends and have a cold beer without having all the bad decisions, all the bad things that come with it.”

The country music star sees this collaboration as a way to hold his late friend’s candle while celebrating his release as a married father of three.

He also sees 2026 as “going well,” even teasing that some new music is coming.

“My story is one of those blessed ones… My wife came back into the picture and gave me the chance to love her after six or seven years of not seeing or talking,” said Gilbert. “It’s this kind of rescue story that, without, obviously, I wouldn’t be in a good place.”

“Over the years, God willing, we congratulate and celebrate not just a success story of this kind, but a success story of American patriotism.”
