Madison Pettis she hid her ex-boyfriend, Michael Porter Jr.while discussing their separation.
Pettis, 27, appeared on an episode of the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast earlier this month. During his interview with Thiele, Pettis shared that he is a huge basketball fan which led him to ask if he would consider dating an NBA player.
“Uh, yeah,” he said before explaining his history with Porter Jr. “I mean, my ex is now in the NBA. When we dated, he was in high school and college.”
Pettis also offered insight into the alleged reason for their split.
“I broke up with him before he joined the group because he was a mentally ill person,” he said. “I think many athletes are not good partners, but I would not like to exclude you because I love what they do.

Pettis and Porter Jr., 27, are from 2016 to 2017. Pettis is best known for his debut as a child actor on the Disney Channel. He recently appeared in rom-coms He is All That again Wrong Paris.
One year after their breakup, Porter Jr. he was drafted by the Denver Nuggets. The forward won his first championship with the Nuggets in 2023. Two years later, Porter Jr. he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets.

“So, I’m not saying I’m a feminist or anything, but I’m going to throw Andrew Tate and see how they react,” Porter Jr. said. during the 2025 episode of the “One Night with Steiny” podcast. “I’ll bring up, like, interviews and play devil’s advocate just to see how this girl, like, thinks about certain things.”
Porter Jr. he also shared that he prefers to date women who haven’t met another NBA star.
“I feel like when you’re dating in public, as an actor, it can be difficult because … it can be difficult to date someone’s older girlfriend and they always have that,” he said on the September 2025 episode of his “Curious Mike” podcast. “It can be like self-aggrandizement or like I don’t know … I’m open to change, I’m not stuck in my ways.”
