Olivia Culpo Feeds Her Hair To Coyotes To Keep ‘Baby’ Safe

Olivia Culpo she uses her hair to prevent wild coyotes from trapping her dog.
Taking to his Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 8, to explain his experience, Culpo, 33, revealed that he had been keeping pieces of his recently cut hair to ward off threats living outside his California home.
“I asked if I could take the hair we cut so I could spray it on my phone to scare the coyotes away,” she captioned a photo of her hair in a small plastic bag. “This is the level of crazy dog mom that I am, but it works! Foxes are everywhere and they’re hungry.”
A subsequent Instagram story featured a photo of a coyote standing under her glass fence while peering into the model’s backyard. Culpo captioned it, “This video still haunts me honestly. A cute but hungry coyote … trying to eat my baby. Even in broad daylight.”
Culpo is a furry mom to Oliver Sprinkles, an adopted Goldendoodle who lives with her husband, an NFL player. Christian McCaffrey. The couple shares a human daughter, Colette, for 8 months.
Culpo also shared photos of herself tossing her hair around. “Yesterday I heard a rumble here … not anymore. Coyotes, go away,” he told fans in the clip.

A mother who loves Oliver Sprinkles, Culpo created an Instagram account for her child that has attracted more than 30,000 followers. Before Culpo gave birth to her daughter, she shared a post in June 2025 that showed McCaffrey, 29, staring at the pooch as she placed it on the couple’s back deck.
Another episode captured the athlete holding Oliver Sprinkles in her lap while sitting on a plane.
Culpo just opened Us Weekly about how her San Francisco 49ers star husband has adapted to being a father to a variety of people. “I always knew he would be a good father because he is a good person,” said Culpo Us in January. “He has a really good role model because his parents are good.”

Culpo clearly can’t help but love her little one, sharing a batch of newborns on Instagram rooting for the 49ers during the NFL’s final season. Many of the smaller creations even featured McCaffrey’s jersey number, 23, emblazoned behind them.
