Meghan McCain he asserts that there is no bad blood in his relatives even if they live on the opposite side of the political spectrum.
“I’m going to say something because there’s a lot of negative online chatter directed at me about this,” Meghan, 41, wrote on X on Thursday, July 16. “Me and my mother, my siblings and my siblings love each other and support each other despite our political disagreements and disharmony.”
He continued, “I’m still a very conservative Republican, and it’s okay that they’re not.”
Meghan is one of the late Republican Senate John McCainFour four children Cindy McCain. John, who died in 2018 aged 81, and Cindy, 72, also had sons John, 40, James, 38, and daughter Bridget, 34. (John was also the father of three children from his previous marriage Carol Shepp.)
Cindy is also a lifelong Republican, though she crossed party lines in 2020 to endorse Joe Biden over Donald Trump. Cindy and James will also host a fundraiser for Arizona’s Democratic governor, Katie Hobbsthis fall in support of his re-election campaign, according to MS Now. (The outlet also reported that Jimmy registered as a Democrat in 2024, admitting Kamala Harris that year in his now-failed challenge to the Trump campaign.)

I know most of you are looking for drama and evil, but it’s not there.”
Graham, who? died earlier this month following a sudden illness, he had been longtime friends and Senate colleagues with John.

“The news of his sudden death is shocking and deeply saddening to me and my family,” Meghan said. Like many relationships in life, mine and Lindsey were complicated in recent years. I choose to remember the endless laughter and joy he brought to my family many times, in many ways. These memories are some of the most precious things in my life.”
