Bobby Bones comes to John Stamos‘ defense after the actor made controversial comments about the reality competition show Dancing with the Stars.
“Hi everyone, it’s Bobby,” Bones, whose real name is Bobby Estell, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, July 11. “Just a quick reminder before the internet hits something. Before anyone comes after Uncle Jesse … be kind!!! John Stamos was obviously playing on our Dancing with the Stars interview on my show ‘BobbyCast.’ That was sarcasm being played, not shade.”
Bones, 46, continued, “If you’re reacting to the title and not the actual conversation, that’s like reviewing a movie after watching the trailer. I love John. The vibe was laughter, not insults. Watch the whole thing, we’ll be talking. On Netflix or podcast audio.”
Stamos, 62, made headlines when he appeared on the Tuesday, July 7, episode of “The Bobbycast” podcast, where he said he’s been asked to participate “every single season.” Dancing with the Stars to no avail.
“I said, ‘Don’t ask me again,'” the actor continued at the time. “I will never do that show.” Bobby, from Unknown, won season 27 of ABC’s hit ballroom dance competition. After Stamos’ request, Bones suggested that Stamos reconsider his position, adding that the actor would likely “learn a lot” about himself as a result of appearing on the show.
“I just never … What makes it look good is for people to suffer and look like fools,” Stamos replied, firmly in his position. “Broken feet, calluses … I don’t want that.”
Stamos’ latest comments are not the first Full house The star has shut down any suggestion that she will appear in the hit TV series.
