Jason Kelce Calls Out Team USA Fans For World Cup Anthem

Jason Kelce has been a supporter of Team USA’s men’s soccer team during its run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup — and he wants American fans to get on board with the program.

“I’m hearing a lot of other songs from UK bands,” said Kelce, 38, on the Tuesday, June 30, episode of Landon Donovan again Tim HowardThe “Unfiltered Football” podcast, criticizes the infamous “I believe we’re going to win!” rallying cry among Team USA fans.

“I know you played there, Tim,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center continued. “I know there’s a lot of power and love in those songs. Not only that. The anger. They’ll be in your face with those songs.”

He added, “‘I believe we’re going to win,’ that little bit … we need to step it up a little bit.”

Kelce, who played for the Eagles from 2011 to 2023, went on to explain that disparaging American sports fans and their songs is only for football fans.

Kelce added, “We need some drunk nights in a bar with a bunch of guys just trying to figure out how to talk to the opposition.”

Complaints about these songs, Kelce sparked the fever of Team USA that has plagued the country since the start of the World Cup.

“I think everybody across the country is angry right now,” he said. “I know we lost [Türkiye] rest, what, nine players or how many changes. But I think the power of the United States right now is high. “
