Off Campus Creator Teases Season 2 Change After Surprising Cast Exit

Off campus Louisa Levy the creator revealed that season 2 will look a little different – and not just because of the cast’s departure.

Levy teased what fans can expect during the Prime Video Obsessed Fest on Saturday, June 27, saying, “There’s going to be a little bit of live music. Because we don’t have Hannah’s entire songwriting journey to play.”

Levy admitted that Josh Heuston’s departure also played a role.

“We don’t have Josh and After Hours this season, so we don’t have those teams,” he continued. “But we still have a lot of music in other ways. We will still have light music in this show.”

Levy concluded: “I still think the heart of the show resides in those needle drops and in those songs that emphasize the moment – and the real effects.

Based on- Off campus book series by Elle Kennedyshow, follows an elite ice hockey team — and the women in their lives — as they “wrestle with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery — forming deep friendships and lasting bonds while navigating the challenges of transitioning into adulthood,” read the official synopsis.

After the show’s renewal, Levy confirmed earlier this year that Justin would not appear in season 2, telling TV Guide, “Not next season, but I love Josh and I won’t fire him if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point.”

He continued: “We never got the chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ended up with in the book.

Levy noted that it wasn’t always the plan for Justin to be absent. “We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never,” he added.

Heuston, 29, spoke to him alone Us Weekly about a possible comeback, saying, “That’s beyond my pay grade but I hope Justin finds love and continues to have fun while writing music.”

The actress hoped that Justin would do “the right thing” for himself.

“Justin follows his heart. He’s a loving little boy,” she commented. “I think things have gone the way they have, but I think he will continue to do that, maybe he will write beautiful music about the way he was hurt and then come back and try to find his love.”

Meanwhile, Heuston saw Justin longing “over someone else” after he started hooking up with Hannah. The fictional couple didn’t work out, however, because of Hannah and Garrett’s romance.

“I tried to give Justin as much as I could. A lot of times if you fall for the idea of ​​some cool guy doing music at school, you wouldn’t have that love or bond with him,” he said. Us. “My main thing was to try to make him as good as possible.”
