During the premiere of the Travis Barker: Love Is Higher Than Fear at the Tribeca Film Festival, which Us Weekly In attendance Saturday, June 13, Barker, 50, reflected on the various issues he has faced throughout his life, including his fear of flying after surviving a fatal plane crash in 2008 and his struggles with addiction.
Moakler, 51, was seen talking about their marriage, which lasted from 2004 to 2008. She remembers Barker coming out to her about taking 20 to 30 painkillers a day when she was growing up. Barker also revealed how others cared about him, and a security guard was watching over him to make sure he didn’t die in his sleep.
Moakler was also spotted with archive footage released from their original show Meet the Barkers. The couple’s children – son Landon, 22, daughter Alabama, 20, and Moakler’s daughter Atiana, 27, with whom he lives. Oscar De La Hoya – featured prominently in the documentary.
According to the official synopsis, Travis Barker: Love Is Higher Than Fear follows the singer “as he embarks on an unrepentant and redemptive journey, which began after surviving a plane crash that nearly killed him.”
Barker’s relationship with his wife now Kourtney Kardashian – who was in the audience for the premiere on Saturday – was retweeted as the pair reminisced about the early days of their romance.
Barker’s report showed a confession when the singer and Kardashian, 47, opened up for the first time about suffering a miscarriage before welcoming their son Rocky.

The couple revealed that Kardashian became pregnant six months after they started dating in 2021. They were expecting a girl – who they were going to name Tulip – before Kardashian learned during a doctor’s appointment that their baby no longer had a heartbeat.
“When we lost a child, we were devastated,” Kardashian said in the documentary. “We cried for many days.”
Kardashian broke down both of their attempts to get pregnant, which included five IVF attempts over the course of eight months. They finally decided to push through the process before conceiving their son, Rocky, who is now 22 months old.
Travis Barker: Love Is Higher Than Fear premieres on Hulu August 13.
