Did Euphoria’s Maddy, Bishop End Up Together After The Finale?

EuphoriaThe series finale introduced a potential romance between Maddy and Bishop – but did they really get together?
Darrell Britt-Gibson was asked about his character Bishop who gives up Maddy (Alexa Demie) trip home during the Sunday, May 31 episode, he told us The decision“You know, I interpret it in many different ways. I have my own opinions.”
This actor chose not to share his explanation with others.
“Actually I know what it is [it is] – I love that now it’s for the fans,” he shared. “You know, they’ve invested a lot of time, a lot of energy, a lot of love in this game, and I want them to have it and make it theirs, whatever they want it to be.”
Britt-Gibson continued: “Even though I know, I love that it’s theirs, and I love that they can have it.”
After playing at the Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) fixer throughout the season, Bishop had his hero moment during the finals. The show ended with Ali (Colman Domingo) entering the Silver Slipper to avenge Rue (Zendaya) death. He held Alamo at gunpoint before they agreed to a Western-style protest.
Alamo’s plan failed because when he took out his gun, it misfired. He saw the Bishop lower the gun stealthily so that there was no bullet.
“Bishop didn’t agree with a lot of what Alamo did, but it was a job for him,” Britt-Gibson told Variety. “I think what Alamo did to Rue was Bishop’s last straw.”
Britt-Gibson explained how Rue’s death affected Bishop, adding, “He also talks to Maddy in the car.
Elsewhere in the interview, Britt-Gibson talked about how she sees Bishop as being on the autism spectrum.
“I don’t think black people will be able to play enough,” Britt-Gibson, 39, told Variety Monday, June 1. “I don’t like the way people in multiple lines are being talked about.”
Britt-Gibson wanted to provide accurate representations, adding, “There are a lot of people in my life and my family who are on the spectrum, and they are very beautiful, deep, soulful people.”
He continued: “I thought, ‘If I’m going to do this and play him like that, I want to be able to do it justice and make it thoughtful and put together.’ That was something I naturally thought about. I wanted to take care of it that way.”
Euphoria currently airing on HBO Max.
