Talking to Vanity Fair In an interview published on Friday, May 15, Jack, 33, admitted, “I don’t think I’ll ever process it.”
Tatiana, who was the daughter of Caroline Kennedy and the grandson of the deceased President John F. Kennedy – died in December 2025 after being diagnosed with cancer. He was 35 years old.
“The world will never be the same for me, not only since he passed away, but since he was diagnosed with cancer two years ago,” said Jack. Vanity Fair.
Jack, who is also the younger brother of Rose, 37, said that his sister Tatiana is still on his mind almost five months after she died.
“He was my best friend. “I miss him all the time. I think about him every day.”
The JFK Library Foundation confirmed Tatiana’s death following her battle with acute myeloid leukemia in an Instagram statement in December 2025.
“Our beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts,” the statement read. Signed by Tatiana’s husband, George Morantheir two children, Edwin, 4, and Josephine, 1, his parents, siblings and sister-in-law Rory Schlossberg.

Tatiana shared that she learned she had a “rare mutation called Inversion 3” after her doctor noticed an imbalance in her white blood cell count following the birth of her second child. Initially, Tatiana was told she would need months of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
“I didn’t – I didn’t – believe they were talking about me. I had swam a mile in the lake the day before, nine months pregnant. I wasn’t sick. I wasn’t sick. I was actually one of the healthiest people I knew,” she wrote. I had a son that I loved more than anything else and a baby that I had to take care of.

Tatiana added to the story that her mind quickly turned to her young children and shared her fear that they would grow up with limited memories of their mother.
“My first thought was that my children, whose faces are forever inside my eyelids, will not remember me,” she recalled. “My son may have a few memories, but he will probably start to confuse himself with the images he sees or the stories he hears. I have never been able to really take care of my daughter – I could not change her diaper or wash her or feed her, all because of the risk of infection after my transplant. I was gone for almost half of her first year of life. I don’t know, when he will feel, or when he will remember when he will really die, even if he is gone, even if he is gone, even if he is gone, even if I will feed him. I am his mother.”
