Britney Spears Says She’s On A Spiritual Journey Amid DUI Plea

Britney Spears returned to his iconic performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U” while giving an update on his state of mind after his DUI plea deal.

In his latest book, the singer reflected on the “spiritual journey” he has taken in recent weeks.
“I’m so thankful for my friends and the many wonderful new people I’ve met on my spiritual journey… all blessings in disguise,” he wrote. “I still have to learn to be kind to myself and how I talk to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile!!!!”
Spears was arrested near his home on March 4, and tested positive for alcohol at .06, or below the legal limit. (The blood alcohol limit in California is 0.08% or higher for drivers 21 and older.)
“This was an unfortunate and inexcusable incident,” a spokesperson for Spears said in a statement. He was sentenced to 12 months probation and one day in jail, given credit for time spent in custody. Under the terms of his plea, Spears is required to complete a DUI class and pay $571 in state-mandated costs, in addition to seeing a psychiatrist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.
