3 New Netflix Movies to Watch in June 2026, Rated by IMDb

Good movies are hard to find, even on Netflix, which supposedly has hundreds of them.
But how can you tell if a movie you’ve never seen is worth watching?
Another way is to check the IMDb rating of the film – if it has 6 or more, it is usually very good.
Another way is to read Watch Us, which combs through all the Oscar winners and superhero slop to pick the best movies to stream.
In June, we recommend these new Netflix movies: the classic rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral with Hugh Grant, Kurt Russell’2004 inspirational sports drama A miracle and an animated film for adults Dear Vincent.
3. ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ (1994)
Andie MacDowell and Hugh Grant in Four Weddings and a Funeral.
Level Film distributorsIMDb rating: 7.1
One of the songs in Four Weddings and a Funeral begins with this song: “They write love songs … but not me.” That sums up the British film hero, Charles (Hugh Grant), and his depressing view of love and relationships; he is the eternal bachelor who is cursed to attend the weddings of strangers. Things get a little better when he meets Carrie (Andie MacDowell), but he’s an American who would rather have sex with one person than make a lifelong commitment. However, when he sees her again, something changes between them, and they both think that their dream could turn into something real.
A surprise nominee for Best Picture in 1995, Four Weddings and a Funeral was a huge success upon its release and has since become a romantic comedy platform. As seen today, it still holds up – the naughty British comedy keeps coming, and the chemistry between Grant and McDowell seems genuine. The film perfectly captures that strange glow you get after the party is over, but you’re still hanging out with your friends, not wanting the night to end. You will feel the same way about this movie.
2. ‘The Miracle’ (2004)

IMDb rating: 7.5
The year is 1980, and the US men’s ice hockey team hasn’t won a gold medal in decades. Their biggest rival, the Soviet Union, had won the last four times, and their chances of taking another gold looked very good. But the newly installed Herb Brooks (Kurt Russell) doesn’t want that to happen, and he’ll do anything to win – even if it means wearing out the team that has to watch him. After months of endless training, the Americans arrived at the Winter Olympics ready to win. Can they pull off a miracle and take the gold?
Well, there is a reason why this movie is called that A miracle. Dubbed the “Miracle on Ice” by sports commentators, the historic upset is well known by hockey fans and the general public, especially after this year’s Winter Olympics had similar record-setting performances by both the men’s and women’s hockey teams. The reason the Miracle works so well is not the result; watching the tough training these men go through is impossible. What brings the film together is Russell’s strong performance as the tough-as-nails coach. Brooks knows what it’s like to miss out on Olympic glory, and he doesn’t want that to happen to his team.
1. ‘Dear Vincent’ (2017)

Douglas Booth in Loving Vincent
Good Deed Entertainment/Everett CollectionIMDb rating: 7.8
Armand Romlin (Douglas Booth) is given a very unusual task by his postman father: deliver the last letter from the artist, Vincent (Robert Gulaczyk), who killed himself a year earlier, to his beloved brother, Theo (Cezary Łukaszewicz). It seems like an easy job, but Armand soon discovers that Vincent was more complex and interesting than he thought. As he talks to people who knew the starving musician, Armand begins to suspect that his suicide may have been the murder of someone close to him.
If you haven’t guessed yet, the Vincent in this movie is Vincent van Gogh, carrying his life story and paintings. Dear Vincent. The film uses rotoscoping animation to replicate many of van Gogh’s famous works, so you’ll see Armand wandering through “Starry Night Over the Rhône” and “Wheatfield with Crows.” The result is a truly unique experience, immersing you deeply in the works of one of the most famous artists of all time while weaving the fascinating story of how he died and lived. Voice streaming includes Saoirse RonanAidan Turner and Game of Thrones‘ Jerome Flynn.
