New information has emerged following the arrest of Jenna Stroubleincluding the fact that he gave the father of his children a massage before he shot and killed him, his mother and stepfather.
The hearing scheduled for Monday, March 30, has been postponed to Tuesday, March 31, according to CBS News. Prosecutors have asked that he be kept in custody until his trial. However, the judge will make a final decision during the upcoming trial.
Prosecutors said on March 30, Strouble turned himself in Jacob Lambert a massage before he killed her. It is said that he then drove to his parents’ house and killed them as well.
Police responded to his home after Strouble’s sister called 911 saying he had shot three people, prosecutors from the Will County Attorney’s Office said.
After Strouble was taken into custody, he told authorities he asked Lambert if he wanted to go out and go for a drive. He picked her up around 11:00 and they went to Plum Creek Nature Preserve, which was closed.
After he told investigators that he and Lambert did not communicate well, he admitted that he suggested driving to hurt her.
Strouble said he approached and told Lambert he was going to rub his back, according to prosecutors. He brought a massage gun because Lambert complained that his back hurt, and that he didn’t do enough for him.
After Strouble asked Lambert to recline the chair, he told him to take off his shirt and hat and lie on his stomach. Strouble then groped her and gave her a 20-minute massage, according to prosecutors.
While Strouble was doing the massage, he found a Glock pistol that was stored under the passenger seat. Prosecutors say he then held a gun to the back of Lambert’s head for about eight minutes as he continued to massage him before shooting him in the back of the head.
After the incident, Strouble said he smoked a cigarette and drove to Lambert’s house. When he got home he smoked another cigarette and tried to enter the house with Lambert’s keys.
He was once Lambert’s stepfather, Pat Fordehe opened the door and Strouble opened fire. Lambert’s mother, Stacy Fordehearing her husband yelling, she came down, and Strouble ended up shooting him too.
Strouble didn’t give a clear motive for killing Lambert and his parents when he spoke to investigators other than not liking them, according to prosecutors.
