Todd Meadows Was On Medical Leave 1 Month Before Death

Todd Meadows‘ said the mother Deadliest Catch The star was given sick leave one month before his death at the age of 25.
Angela Meadows told TMZ on Wednesday, March 4, that her son was hit in the head about a month ago while on his boat. After his injury, Todd was examined by a doctor, which is a staff policy.
Angela explained that the medical technician had determined that Todd had a seizure and had flown back home to Washington to recover. According to Angela, it was the last time Todd’s family saw him before he died.
“The last picture I got of him was when he was lighting a fire,” he told the outlet. “He was listening to music at the time and he was very happy. That’s how I want to remember him.”
Angela revealed that Todd was cleared by the doctor to return to work and her son was happy to be back. He added that the family is not suspicious Deadliest Catch for Todd’s. (There is no indication that the collision played a major role in Todd’s death.)
Earlier this week news broke that Todd had died while working as a deckhand on the fishing vessel Aleutian Lady, which was featured on the Discovery Channel series.
“We are deeply saddened by the death of Todd Meadows,” a network spokesperson told TMZ on Monday, March 2. “This is a tragic loss, and our hearts go out to his loved ones, colleagues, and the entire fishing community at this incredibly difficult time.”
Captain of the Aleutian Lady Rick Shelford honored Todd, who was the newest member of the ship’s crew.
“His love of fishing and his strong work ethic earned everyone an instant respect,” Shelford wrote on Facebook on Sunday, March 1. “His smile was contagious, and the sound of his laughter coming up the wheelhouse stairs or over the deck hailer is something we will always carry with us.”
TMZ previously reported that Todd died from a “fishing incident.” It was later revealed that Todd fell into the water. The Coast Guard at the Arctic District Command Center in Juneau, Alaska, was notified of the incident and attempted to retrieve Todd from the boat. Todd was found unresponsive by the Coast Guard.
“He was found unresponsive by the crew 10 minutes later,” said a Coast Guard spokesperson. Us on Tuesday, March 3, adding that efforts to revive Todd “were unsuccessful.”
The Coast Guard is currently investigating the incident.

“We don’t want to see the footage of this accident and we don’t want Discovery to publicize or make money off of our son’s death,” she told TMZ. “We hope they only spread good things about Todd on that boat.”
