Pitt‘s Supriya Ganesh revealed shocking details about the filming of the scene between Mohan and Abbot – which featured a shirtless scene. Shawn Hatosy.
“Shawn and I had a lot of fun playing that scene. It was a lot of fun working with him,” Ganesh said Us Weekly especially at the Actors Rising Presents Actor Awards and ELLE on Thursday, February 26. “And we actually shot that scene right after he won his Emmy — I actually think it was the day after.”
Ganesh joked that he thought Hatosy would “hate working” with him. “All of a sudden, I don’t know why I thought that,” he continued. “But then we just got on set and it was like, ‘Oh, that’s Shawn and he’s great.’ He is a gifted actor and he is charming and generous. It’s great to work with him. “
Pittwhich premiered on HBO Max in January 2025, followed a group of employees at a fictional Pittsburgh hospital ER working a single 15-hour shift. Despite the great interest in seeing Mohan and Abbot as a couple, Ganesh wasn’t sure what was coming.
“It’s whatever the writers think is right. That’s where a lot of this came from. There was a season 1 writer who was like, ‘Oh, I think these two would be great,'” Ganesh revealed. “Shawn and I are leaning. It’s good that everyone is supportive. So, it depends on what the writing team wants.”
Ganesh could see why the fictional couple might be similar, saying, “There’s a lot of similarities there. They’re wasted in similar ways too. In fact, I think it’s like good and bad.”
