Jennifer Lopez she doesn’t need a man to make her happy.

“You’re single right now,” he joked Jimmy Kimmel commented on the actress, who was a guest on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Lopez sarcastically replied, “I am. I should have done it sooner! I was doing everything wrong. Trust me.”
Kimmel, 58, then floated the idea of Lopez finding love on reality television, asking, “Would you consider being the next Bachelorette here on ABC?”
“No. Are you crazy?” Lopez responded emphatically. “I’m not doing anything to ruin the way I feel right now. It’s amazing. I love you.”
“It seems difficult for you to meet people otherwise,” Kimmel thought. However, Lopez replied, “I’ll meet someone somewhere someday, if they’re good enough.”
Kimmel continued, “I think it would be great if we could put you in a house with 25 weirdos. Wouldn’t it be funny even if it’s just a game where they haven’t met the Bachelorette, and then it comes out and they’re all in their pants at the same time?”
“I can’t. I’ll never. I can’t do it,” Lopez replied, adding, “I’m fine right now. I’m happy.”
Lopez finalized her divorce from longtime love Affleck, 53, in January 2025. She first filed for divorce in August 2024, two years after they tied the knot.
Lopez and Affleck began dating in the early 2000s after meeting on a movie set. Gigi. They were supposed to get married in September 2003 but they canceled the wedding dates before it took place. They later broke up in January 2004.
The former couple reunited in 2021 and got engaged for the second time in April 2022. They tied the knot in Las Vegas in July of that year and held a second wedding ceremony in Georgia the following month.
In March, Lopez considered hitting the reset button following her fourth divorce. (She was married to him before Ojani Noah from 1997 to 1998, Chris Judd from 2001 to 2003 again Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.)
“I took a year off,” Lopez said during his appearance Good Morning Americaexplaining that she had to “drop everything” after her breakup with Affleck. “I canceled the trip. I decided to stay at home and dwell on what happened without running away because of work, someone else, anything. Just stay.”
“I was at a point where I said, ‘What’s going on with you?'” he continued. I wouldn’t blame anyone else because I don’t think that’s where I learn.
Lopez added, “I feel like for the first time in my life, I’m free. I’m alone. It feels really good. I didn’t really know what that felt like since I was 20, and even before that I always had a boyfriend. There was always someone in my life and a lot of other things that I felt were beyond my control. I’ve come to a point where I have more confidence and I’m more grateful.”
