Mormon Wives’ Mikayla Jokes About Divorce In Video With Jace

Secret Lives of Mormon WivesMikayla Matthews teases the state of her relationship with her husband Jace Terry after they announced they were splitting in season 4.

In a TikTok video posted on Sunday, March 22, Mikayla, 26, can be seen digging into Taco Bell fries and lip-syncing to an audio clip as Jace, 30, walks by behind her.

“And you’re going to want to sit down for this video,” the MomTok influencer captioned the divorce announcement shared by another influencer. Mikayla Nogueira in February.

“I’m getting a divorce,” Mikayla continued to mouth. “Take a minute. Take it in,” he added as Jace stepped into the frame.

Mikayla captioned the video, “Sorry taco bell is my only true love 😚🫶🏼,” tagging Jace, with whom she has four children: Beckham, 8, Haven, 6, Tommie, 4, and 8-month-old Lottie June.

Mikayla and Jace said they were breaking up in season four Mormon wives, which premiered earlier this month on Hulu, after ongoing intimacy issues. (The couple first dealt with their personal problems in season 3.)

“Jace and I stayed up all night talking about the pros and cons of breaking up,” he said in a season 4 statement. “Between all the MomTok drama and the pressure I’m under to make my marriage work, I’m definitely reaching a breaking point. We both agreed to break up.”

Mikayla later gave an update on her relationship with Jace to Us Weekly before the start of season 4.

“I think it’s tense in this place, because I also need a lot of support from him in everything,” he said. “And it’s one of those things that we’re still going through, and it still has its ups and it still has its downs.”

“Unfortunately for me, it’s like I’m stuck in this place where my life is beyond my control,” said Mikayla, talking about her diagnosis of chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS). “I feel like I can’t control anything else in my life once that’s under control. So it’s just a matter of time and patience. I think it’s something we’re still working on, and it’s going to take a while.”

At the time, Mikayla was shy about whether she and Jace were still together.

“I mean, we’re filming right now, obviously, so I can’t give too much away,” Mikayla said. Us. “I have to see, is it my house that’s sick? Is it Utah that’s sick? And so I feel like there’s a lot of that frustration that’s weighing on me right now, like, a lot of anxiety and stress that way, ‘OK, do I have to remove myself from my home, from my marriage, from the government so what do I do, what do I do?’ I think that’s still something I’m still very focused on.”
