Meghan Markle and Netflix have officially split.
The billionaire and Markle announced the end of their partnership on Friday, March 6, with the Duchess of Sussex continuing her “independent” lifestyle.
“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we’re excited to be a part of bringing that vision to life,” a Netflix spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “As always intended, Meghan will continue to grow the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to delight families around the world.”
In their statement, Markle’s brand As Never Before, told People that they are “very grateful for Netflix’s partnership with the launch and in our first year.”

“We’ve had significant and rapid growth, and as of right now it’s ready to stand alone. We’ve got an exciting year ahead of us and can’t wait to share more.”
Critics of Prince Harry and Markle took to X to share how they felt about the news, with one writing, “Netflix has had enough of Markled and has cut ties.”
“HUGE. Netflix just cut ties with Meghan Markle’s ‘As Ever’ brand – after her show didn’t go ahead, on page six,” added another. “Even Netflix is charging. The celebrity rush is disappearing. People have WORKED with studies and poor lives while families can’t afford the basics. Go woke, go broke.”
Another X user wrote that “now we have the truth” about the end of the partnership.

“Ah now we have the truth,” they wrote. “Meghan tried to say she’s gone, but Netflix confirms she’s dumped the talentless grifter. Another epic fail with this scam.”
One X user wrote that “if As it happens they make pirates, they will want the pole,” adding that “Netflix is giving it up, willingly, to remove the dead weight.”
“Also, in relation to Meghan Markle, we can say that she is taking over because the marketing, marketing and communications strategy is AWFUL,” they continued. “Travelling around the world will not solve his problems, it will only make him angry [sic] see. If Netflix didn’t want to take the product to the world so quickly, there was a good reason. If products don’t do well in the US, they won’t fare much better elsewhere. Madame is just living in a world of illusions and Netflix is tired of being crazy and letting her fall flat on her face, which I believe is exactly what will happen. “
Others came to the defense of the Duchess, pointing out that it was a mutual decision to separate.

“Netflix didn’t abandon him where he studied [sic] press release , he wants to make the whole world they were not sure, and now they are there [sic] out and Meghan will travel the world with Netflix said there [sic] I’m so proud of him and can’t wait to see him step up and be good friends!!” they wrote.
Another user agreed, writing, “Although Netflix provided a supportive launch platform for Meghan’s As Ever, but the independence gives her complete freedom to position As Ever as she wants as it grows. With products that sell consistently, the demand is clear. Fingers crossed for exports.”
Launched in 2025, the lifestyle and home goods brand launched its first products in April, just one month after the premiere of her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” which features Markle’s celebrity friends visiting her home as they share tips on cooking, gardening and hosting.
Other items sold by this brand include jam and honey, tea and wine, candles, chocolate and similar products. After the launch of their first product, their brand ran out of stock in less than an hour, despite what some considered high prices.

“Our shelves may be empty, but my heart is full! We sold out in less than an hour and I can’t thank you enough…for celebrating, buying, sharing, and believing,” Duchess of Sussex shared on Instagram at that time. “It’s just the beginning @aseverofficial Here we go!”
Harry and Meghan began working with Netflix in 2020 with a reported $100 million deal, continuing to work together in the 2022 series, “Harry & Meghan,” “Live to Lead,” “Heart of Invictus” in 2023 and “Polo” in 2024, before announcing in July 2025 that they would not renew their contract.
Season two of “With Love, Meghan” was released on Netflix in March and August 2025 respectively, as well as a holiday special in December, and although it has not been officially canceled, there is no news about the third season of the show.
