Lori Loughlin Makes a Surprise Cameo in Calling Heart End

When It Calls the Heart concludes season 13 with a surprise from another outsider Lori Loughlin – seven years after his exit from the show.

On Sunday, March 22, an episode of the hit Hallmark series Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) marriage ended when Abigail (Loughlin) returned to Hope Valley, saying, “It’s good to be home.”

News broke in December 2025 that Loughlin, 61, would appear in six episodes of season 14’s 12. The show, which is filming this year, will return in 2027 with Krakow, 41, McGarry, Jack Wagner, Chris McNally, Pascale Hutton again Kavan Smith everything will come back.

“Since the series premiered in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton has been a fan favorite and beloved by Hearties,” Hallmark Media’s head of programming said. Michelle Vicary said the statement. “At its height the Hallmark brand is about hope, confidence and connection, which is also a central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”

Loughlin’s appearance on the hit show comes seven years after her last episode aired. The actress became a household name after playing Rebecca on the hit ABC sitcom Full house. From there, Loughlin continued to deliver scene-stealing performances Summerland, 90210, Where the Heart Calls again Fuller House.

Loughlin is closed When It Calls the Heart in 2019 after the scandal of entering the college he served two months in prison. Before his return was announced, Krakow was only told Us Weekly he hoped to meet Loughlin again.

“I love Lori Loughlin, and I love the character she created, Abigail Stanton,” Krakow said, adding that reuniting with Loughlin “is something I’ve been hoping for years and years. I’m a huge fan and friend of hers, so I really hope it happens.”

Loughlin previously returned to acting for Dick Wolf’s Prime Video series On the phone.

“I don’t get offered roles like this,” Loughlin shared with Us in December 2024. “Throughout my career, people [have] she saw me as the girl next door.”

Loughlin explained that she has nothing but gratitude for her past projects, but was excited to try something new.

“I’m not complaining, I feel blessed with the job I got but it was a good opportunity for me to play a completely different role,” he explained. “I was shocked even when I received the offer. [My costar and On Call director] Eriq [La Salle] it was instrumental in getting me on board. I am very grateful that Dick Wolf and everyone at Wolf Entertainment agreed to bring me on board.”
