Lewis, 33, laughed, “Yeah, it’s like growing up with a famous dad.”
The comment drew laughter from the audience.
Bill replied: “But I didn’t do anything. I thought you were going to have a place to manage the livestock. That didn’t really work.
Lewis joked that he “had a big disappointment there” before Bill praised his son for doing “good” all by himself.
“Thanks for saying that. We’re lucky. It turns out audiences don’t always care about, you know, what’s next,” Lewis said. Bill added, “I hope they like the sequel more than the first one, a little bit.”
Lewis concluded, “Well, the jury is still out.”

Lewis, 33, is the younger brother of Bill, 72, and his wife Tamara Hurwitzthree children. (The couple also share a singer-songwriter background Maesa38, and artist Jack37.)

“It really amazes me that he has such a wide variety of choices in terms of what films he’s involved in,” Bill said. “And that he was very happy to be a part of it [The Testament of Ann Lee]which is a thrilling film.”
Bill later shared that he tried never to push or pressure Lewis about the types of roles he should take.
“You remember [my advice] better than me,” said Bill Us. “I remember trying not to say things that would throw him off track, but he’s got a solid pin in the water that I think is really good.”
Lewis is busier than ever with five movies hitting the big screen in the next two years alone. He will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in December Avengers: Doomsday after debuting as the cosmic hero Sentry in 2025 Thunderbolts*.
He currently has the South By Southwest Film Festival under his belt after his sci-fi comedy Wishful thinking premiered in Austin, Texas, earlier this week.
