Jeff Probst Teases The Future Of Survivor Or Not The Host

After 50 seasons A survivor, Jeff Probst I still can’t get enough of hosting the iconic CBS reality show.
“I mean, my blood is in this show, right? I’ve literally bled in this show for almost three decades,” Probst, 64, shared exclusively. Us Weekly before the Survivor 50 will premiere on Wednesday, February 25. “But 100 percent, this is not me saying something politically correct.
Since season 1 aired in 2000, a group of actors have agreed to live on an island where they are forced to compete against each other in a series of challenges. They must survive to win the $1 million prize.
As the show prepares to celebrate 50 seasons and a special cast, Probst admits that he may not be able to participate in the entire series.
“We live inside a small box that is a system A survivorbut when you get inside that small box, you realize that the space is very big.” Probst explained: “You can try all kinds of things. So, for example, if you hire a different type of person to host, then you bring in a different type of person to produce, and you take their different ideas, it looks like the show will go completely differently. “
He continued, “I think it’s going on, and I hope that even if I’m not the show host, maybe there’s a way I can, you know, continue to participate because I love this show.”
In the meantime, Probst and the rest of the team are ready to celebrate a historic season with the greatest players who played the game.
Season 50 features memorable rivalries such as Residences in Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lust, Savannah Louie again Dee Valladares.

CBS“We started with just a group.” We said, ‘Okay, who would we be happy to see in the 50,’ and that group was huge,” Probst recalled. “It was 200 people. Then we got down to 100 and asked the question, ‘What do we want?’ And I kept saying, ‘I want to celebrate.'”
One person Probst hoped to see again was the season 1 and season 8 contestants Jenna Lewis-Dougherty.
“I wanted an OG. There were other players from season 1 that we could have asked, but Jenna was the one I wanted because it’s been a long time and her story has always stuck with me,” he explained. “This person goes out to play this new game, and he’s the person who can’t find his favorite video. A survivor you are real.”
Probst also named the latest competitor to achieve the longest distance A survivor. It’s an Emmy-winning host, to see The White Lotus creator and A survivor season 37 alum Mike White getting back into the game would be special.
“One, like a book, was Mike White,” Probst explained. “I thought if Mike – given where his life is at – agreed to this, then there was something to it A survivor which you won’t get even if you’re the biggest thing in Hollywood.”
A survivor airs on CBS Wednesdays at 8 pm ET.
