Is Chicago PD’s Halstead and Upton Dating Post-Crossover?

Chicago PDJay Halstead and Hailey Upton return to the Windy City during the One Chicago crossover — but are they leaving the couple?

Upton revealed to her former manager Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) that the drug trafficking case he was working on had been arrested in Halstead, which is why he decided to come to Chicago and not blow his cover in case he was in danger.
Halstead, on the other hand, showed up to help the team at the right time to save Upton’s life from one of the attackers, who bought drugs to make poison that would infect the first responders responsible for the death of his family in a fire 25 years ago.
“There were a lot of times I wanted to get to,” Halstead told Upton after they got off the road, but she brushed him off.
At the end of the episode, Halstead and Upton – along with their former Intelligence Unit team – took down the bad guy and saved the city from an attack that would have killed even more people. They were also able to find a solution to save the firefighters and paramedics that were revealed during the investigation.
Before Upton leaves the team room, Halstead again tries to apologize for leaving her and it seems like she’s giving up on them.
“I always work on this case because you were here,” he told her. Upton agreed, “I came here because you were here.”

Upton replied, “I’m sorry too,” before inviting him for a drink before their takeoff flight. They looked at each other before leaving the office together.

Spiridakos and Soffer both agreed that it wasn’t the end of Upton and Halstead’s story, thinking the writers of One Chicago agreed.
“I know we would both like to come back and do more. If there is more story, we are there,” confirmed Spiridakos, with Soffer adding that he is very open to the possibility of more episodes of the former TV couple.
“Hey, yeah,” Soffer said.
Only time will tell if fans will see the couple get back together.
