ICE Houston arrested hundreds of child sex offenders during Trump’s first year

In the first year of President Donald Trump’s second term, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston arrested 414 illegal aliens charged or convicted of child sex offenses.
This number is almost double the 211 arrested in the last year of President Joe Biden’s administration, according to a press release.
“As a group, the arrested offenders included 761 child sex offenses and another 525 from murder and robbery,” ICE noted in its release.
The Trump administration has been working to crack down on illegal immigration since taking office last year.

One of those arrested was a man who returned to the country illegally 12 times, according to ICE.
“Juan Leonardo Garcia Ibarra, a 48-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, who was arrested by ICE on April 4, 2025 … illegally re-entered the US 12 times and was convicted of sexual misconduct with a child, aggravated assault, cruelty to a child, DWI and unlawful officers three times in Mexico illegally, and was again illegally deported to Mexico. 7, 2025,” the press release said.

One of those arrested, Andrew Mark Watson, is from the United Kingdom.
“He was arrested by ICE on Dec. 5, 2025,” according to the release, which noted that he was “convicted of two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor. Watson remains in ICE custody at the IAH Secure Adult Detention Facility in Livingston pending his immigration hearing.”

One of those arrested is Alex Samuel Lara Diaz, a 35-year-old fugitive from Honduras. He was arrested by ICE on Oct. 29, 2025, and was convicted of sexually abusing a minor.
“She is also wanted in Honduras for murder. ICE officers deported Lara Diaz to Honduras on December 13, 2025, and she was turned over to Honduran authorities to be prosecuted for murder,” the ICE report said.
