They all do a great job as actors and actors.”
Despite planning each week, Armitage has overcome his reluctance to join – for now.
“I believe that if you have a very good cast – and if you’ve already attached a great cast – reducing it or adding other people doesn’t hurt it. But I don’t want to go public with what they’re doing,” he said. “It’s great, so I’d be honored to be a part of it.”
He continued: “There’s no current plan that works but, you know, if maybe a couple of seasons in a row happen … it would be really fun and exciting. Now that’s one of those shows that I find myself becoming a fan of. I don’t even have to be a part of it. I just find myself loving it.”

Armitage rose to fame playing Sheldon on the CBS series, which served as a precursor to The Big Bang Theory. To follow Jim Parsonletter of, Young Sheldon focused on Sheldon’s life as a smart kid growing up in Texas. Viewers met Sheldon’s brother, Georgie (Jordan), which paved the way for his romance with Mandy (Osment) to inspire another ending, Georgie & Mandy’s First Wedding.
“I’m lucky in a few ways, because I started doing this when I was young, I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, ‘You look so different.’ It’s interesting to think that if I start another project and do something completely different, it’s a great opportunity to differentiate myself in some way,” explains Armitage. “But that’s not really my goal. I’m proud of the work I did on Young Sheldon. I loved it. It was great fun for seven years. I’m not running at all. I’d love to appear on Georgie and Mandy but at the moment the fact that I can change and do something completely different is amazing and really fun.”
Armitage still found a way to stay at CBS by taking on other opportunities, such as an upcoming guest star role Ghosts.
“I’m looking forward to whatever comes next and not trying to force anything. I’m enjoying the ride and it’s really fun,” he added. “I also like the fact that if I ever want to, there is a home for my favorite character.
The actor joked about his big dream of having “monopoly” on his favorite CBS shows. “I need to ride Tracker and I need to ride Survivor. I need to get kidnapped badly and get Colter Shaw to rescue me,” he laughed. Us. “I need to go to the island [on Survivor] sometimes. I would like to appear a little bit on every CBS show. That would be fun to jump.”
