The Controversial Diego Pavia Was Not Filmed Amidst the Great Party

After the 2026 NFL draft concludes on Saturday, April 25, Diego Pavia He is still waiting to find out where he will be playing professional football.

The controversial quarterback went undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft after the Heisman Trophy finalist threw a viewing party in Tennessee.

According to the photo posted by the reporter Julian MininsohnPavia’s party featured balloons and pictures of the Vanderbilt quarterback, as well as hats from all 32 NFL teams.

Instead of a celebration, the controversial player became the first Heisman Trophy finalist since Jordan Lynch in 2014 to continue undocumented, according to Athletic.

Pavia, 24, is known for setting the game on fire with his antics on and off the pitch. After the Heisman ceremony in December 2025, where he finished behind Indiana’s quarterback and national champion Fernando Mendoza (first pick in the draft), Pavia posted “F-All the voters” on social media.

He later apologized for the position.

Pavia continued to discuss his controversy during the 2026 NFL Draft Combine, saying that NFL teams had not questioned him about his questionable social media posts.

“No, they never,” Pavia told reporters. “I just think, not that they don’t care about anything, but they know the situation.”

He continued, “One thing about me is that I don’t care what people think about me. God has a plan for me regardless. But the way the media is, they have to put out clickbait and stuff like that. People get ideas, and that’s how people make money. I understand that. And so people will twist the story and try to put out bad media to get clicks, good media just so we can live today. Adapt to the new world.”

Pavia led Vanderbilt to a 10-2 season in his final year with the team, with 3,192 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. He added 826 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.

With the Commodores narrowly missing out on an appearance in the College Football Playoffs, Pavia took to social media to plead his case for an expanded playoff bracket to allow more teams to compete for the national title.

He even asked the President Donald Trump for help.

“@realDonaldTrump MAKE AN EXECUTIVE ORDER PLEASE ‼️👀,” Pavia wrote via X in December, citing a text from a college football reporter. Brooks Austinwhich suggested a 16-team playoff.

Trump has never addressed the position, but the president has strongly called on Congress to take action to strengthen college sports in the new NIL era.
